Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (wrist, personal) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the 49ers. He did not practice on Wednesday, was a full-go on Thursday, and limited on Friday. It's unclear if it's the wrist or a personal issue that has him listed as questionable, but we haven't heard any real concern about his availability for this one. We'll look for further updates on Hill's status, but he can stay penciled into Week 16 fantasy lineups for now.
Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (knee) is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game vs. the 49ers. Waddle has had an underwhelming season and ranks just fourth among Dolphins in targets. But he still leaves behind 5.3 targets per game. His absence means added target upside for WR Tyreek Hill, TE Jonnu Smith, and RB De'Von Achane. Rookie Malik Washington figures to slide in as Miami's No. 2 WR but is really only in play in DFS tournaments.
Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. "It will be a day-to-day situation," HC Mike McDaniel said. "I’ll be hopeful that we’ll see him, but I don’t really know." We'll keep you posted on Waddle's progress over the next few days, but fantasy owners should not be counting on him in Week 16 fantasy lineups right now.
Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle's status for this weekend's game vs. the 49ers is uncertain, HC Mike McDaniel said Monday. Waddle suffered a knee injury in the Week 15 loss to the Texans. It's not considered major and won't require surgery, McDaniel said, adding that Waddle is "day-to-day." We'll keep tabs on his practice participation this week, but fantasy owners should be making other plans for Week 16.
Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa threw three INTs in a Week 15 loss at Houston. Tua finished with 196 yards and 1 TD on 29 of 40 passing.
Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle suffered an apparent ankle injury when he got rolled up on in the second quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Texans. He hobbled off the field and into the medical tent. We'll update Waddle's status when we know more.
Update: Waddle is officially questionable to return with a knee injury.
Dolphins Raheem Mostert (hip) practiced all week and is not listed on the final injury report. He’ll be back for Sunday’s game vs. the Texans. Mostert isn’t a fantasy option but figures to siphon some passing-down snaps and goal-line work from RB De’Von Achane.
Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith went all of regulation without recording a catch. Then in overtime, the veteran caught all 3 targets for 44 yards and a game-winning score.
Dolphins LB Anthony Walker is active for today's game against the Jets. He was questionable with a hamstring injury but finished the practice week with full Friday participation. Walker's OK as a lower-end IDP option -- albeit with some risk. His return figures to knock LB Tyrel Dodson back to a reserve role.
Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (hip) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Jets. His absence could mean a few extra touches for RB De’Von Achane, particularly in the red zone. RBs Jaylen Wright and Jeff Wilson are also active for Miami.
Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (hip) is not expected to play vs. the Jets today, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Mostert has averaged just 2.5 carries and 1.8 targets over the last four games, so there isn't a big fantasy impact here. RB De'Von Achane could pick up a few extra touches, particularly in the red zone. Jaylen Wright and Jeff Wilson will serve as the No. 2 and 3 RBs.
Dolphins LB Anthony Walker is questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets. His progress through the practice week makes it look like he's trending toward playing, though. Walker sat out Wednesday's practice before going limited Thursday and full on Friday. If he can't go, then Tyrel Dodson would likely fill in for the second straight week.
Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert (hip) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Jets. He's averaged just 2.5 carries and 1.8 targets over the last four games, so his absence would be just a slight boost to RB De'Von Achane.
Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle caught 4 of 4 targets for 53 yards in Thursday’s loss to Green Bay. He added a two-point conversion on an impressive end zone catch.
Dolphins TE Jonnu Smith caught 9 of 11 targets for 87 yards and 1 score in Sunday's win over New England. Smith now leads all TEs in fantasy points over the past two weeks.
Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle went off for 8 catches, 144 yards, and 1 score in a Week 12 win over New England. His 28.4 PPR points marked his highest output since Week 8 of 2022.
Dolphins WR Jaylen Waddle finished Week 11 with 2 catches for 37 yards. He drew just an 8.3% target share on a day that saw Tua Tagovailoa throw 36 times for 288 yards.
Dolphins RB De’Von Achane notched 17 carries for 73 yards and 1 score in Sunday's win over Vegas. He added 32 receiving yards on an 11% target share.
Dolphins RB Raheem Mostert suffered a hip injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Raiders and is officially questionable to return. His absence leaves Miami's backfield to De'Von Achane and Jaylen Wright. We'll update Mostert's status when we know more.
Update: Mostert returned in the second quarter.
Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill (wrist) is not listed on the final Week 11 injury report. He went from no practice on Wednesday to a limited workout on Thursday to full participation on Friday. Hill will continue to play through the torn ligament in his wrist that might eventually require surgery. He comes with a lower floor than usual but remains very tough to leave out of fantasy lineups.
