Fantasy Football News & Latest NFL Updates

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bengals WR Tee Higgins suffered a rib injury in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Titans and will not return. We'll look for an update on the severity of the injury.

Chargers RB Austin Ekeler (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Raiders. He put in three limited practices this week and seems to be trending toward a return after Los Angeles’ Week 5 bye. Joshua Kelley gets another crack at lead duties today.

Bucs WR Mike Evans suffered a hamstring injury in the second quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Saints. He's officially questionable to return. Stay tuned for an update.

Update: Evans has been ruled out.

Broncos RB Javonte Williams suffered a hip injury in the first half of Sunday's game vs. the Bears and is questionable to return. We'll pass along an update when we get one. Williams' absence leaves Denver's backfield to Samaje Perine and Jaleel McLaughlin.

Update: Williams has been ruled out.

Jaguars WR Christian Kirk led the team in receiving in Week 4 vs. the Falcons, hauling in 8 of 12 targets for 84 yards. Teammate Calvin Ridley saw limited involvement with 2 targets, though he found the end zone on busted coverage in the first quarter. TE Evan Engram also had a solid outing, corralling 7 of 8 targets for 59 yards. The Jaguars’ offense started to show some signs of improvement in London. We’ll see if they can keep their success going stateside when they return to face the Bills in Week 5.

Jaguars RB Travis Etienne recorded 20 carries for 55 yards in Sunday’s win vs. the Falcons. He also hauled all 3 of his targets for 17 yards as a receiver. This effort didn’t result in the biggest fantasy day, but the fact that Etienne again dwarfed his positional counterparts in touch opportunities should be encouraging. He’ll look to have a more productive outing in Week 5 vs. the Bills.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence completed 23 passes on 30 attempts for 201 yards with 1 TD in Week 4’s win vs. the Falcons. He also showed off his legs in London, totaling 42 yards on 8 carries in the contest. Sunday’s effort was the best we’ve seen from the Jaguars so far this season. Their defense lent a helping hand with a TD of their own, but managers worried about Lawrence and company ought to be encouraged by their results. Jacksonville will look to keep this momentum going in Week 5 vs. the Bills.

Falcons WR Drake London found the end zone in London vs. the Jaguars. Of course, his 3 catches on 7 targets for 28 receiving yards isn’t ideal, but the amusing nature of the TD and the fact that it helps fantasy managers counts all the same. In the most frustrating turn of events possible, TE Jonnu Smith led the team in receiving with 95 yards on all 6 of his targets. Fellow TE Kyle Pitts (2 catches, 41 yards) disappeared again in Week 4. It’s getting tough to hold out hope for him at this point. It’ll be tough to trust any of these pass-catchers, though a Week 5 matchup vs. the Texans makes their collective appeal a little nicer.

Falcons RB Bijan Robinson racked up 137 total yards in Sunday’s loss vs. the Jaguars. The rookie showcased his skill set in London with an impressive one-handed snag in the contest while also serving as the lone functional piece of the Atlanta offense. Tyler Allgeier took a back seat in Week 4, only tallying 7 carries for 16 yards and one catch that netted negative yardage. Managers who drafted Bijan should be thrilled to start him again next week vs. the Texans.

Falcons QB Desmond Ridder completed 19 of 31 passes for 191 passing yards and a TD in Sunday’s loss vs. the Jaguars. The second-year player struggled with turnovers in the game, including a lost fumble in the fourth quarter and a pair of INTs. This is now the fourth game in a row that Ridder has failed to throw multiple TDs, and he really shouldn’t be considered outside of 2QB or superflex leagues in Week 5 against the Texans.

Saints TE Juwan Johnson is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Bucs with a calf injury. We'll update his status when we know more.

Update: Johnson has been ruled out.

The Vikings will go with the hot hand at RB vs. the Panthers today, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. RB Alexander Mattison "is still the starter," per Pelissero, but we could see "a lot of" RB Cam Akers. Mattison has been inefficient and mistake-prone through three games, so there's an opening for Akers. Mattison remains the preferred fantasy play today, but his floor is much lower than it's been the first three weeks.

Dolphins S DeShon Elliott (ankle, groin) is inactive for today's game against the Bills. That should mean Brandon Jones starting in his place. Jones' struggles in coverage will make Miami's secondary even more vulnerable to the Bills' pass offense. But Jones should be at least as good a bet as Elliott for tackles. Miami has used him heavily as a blitzer in the past, which adds IDP upside. Jones is interesting for fantasy use in an upside matchup for DB tackles.

Buccaneers LB Devin White (foot), CB Carlton Davis (toe), and DT Vita Vea (pectoral) are all active for today's game against the Saints. Use any as planned in your IDP lineups.

Colts DT DeForest Buckner (groin, back) is active for today's game against the Rams. He likely belongs in your IDP lineup.

Ravens S Kyle Hamilton (back) is active for today's game against the Browns. He should be in your IDP lineups. S Marcus Williams (pectoral) remains out. He arrived questionable but is not yet ready to return from his Week 1 injury. Williams seems to be trending toward a Week 5 return.

Broncos S Justin Simmons (hip) is inactive for today's game against the Bears. That means Delarrin Turner-Yell will start in his place again. He racked up 13 tackles in Simmons' absence last week and should be in starter consideration for IDP lineups once again. Check our updated Week 4 DB rankings to see where he lands.

Rams TE Tyler Higbee (Achilles) is active for today’s game vs. the Colts. He reportedly dealt with Achilles soreness throughout the week and only got in a limited practice on Friday. Higbee would be a risky TE1 play today.

Eagles RB Rashaad Penny is a healthy scratch for today's game vs. the Commanders. With RB Boston Scott back from his concussion, Penny sinks back down to fourth on Philly's depth chart.

Panthers LB Frankie Luvu (hip) is active today against the Vikings. He arrived questionable after leaving Week 3 early but should be set for most IDP lineups.
