Trevor Lawrence Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) is active for today’s game vs. the Titans. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, so it’s safe to assume that Lawrence won’t be at 100% for this one.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler hears that Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) is expected to play vs. the Titans on Sunday. That's been the feeling all week, although Lawrence only got in a limited practice on Friday. We'll get Jacksonville's inactives around 11:30 am ET tomorrow.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Titans. He only got in a limited practice on Friday. It sounds like Lawrence will play on Sunday, but it’s clear that he’ll be operating at less than 100%. That adds risk to his Week 14 fantasy profile.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (toe) missed practice again on Thursday. He said that he expects to play against the Titans this weekend, but we wouldn't consider him a lock at this point -- especially considering the 4-8 Jaguars have little to play for. We'll get another update on Lawrence tomorrow.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence is "day to day" with a left toe injury, HC Doug Pederson said Wednesday. Lawrence won't practice on Wednesday but is "progressing," per Pederson. “We've still got several days before the game," Pederson added. "But he's tough. He'll do everything he can in his power to try to be out there but, we'll just take it day by day." Lawrence was able to play through this injury last week, so we're tentatively expecting him to play vs. the Titans this weekend. But fantasy owners hoping to start Lawrence should line up a backup plan.

Jaguars HC Doug Pederson wouldn't commit Monday to QB Trevor Lawrence being ready to play Sunday against the Titans. Lawrence took a scary shot to the left knee at the end of the 1st half in the Week 13 loss at Detroit. But he returned after the break and finished out the game. Here's what Pederson had to say Monday: "I think things are trending in the right direction. It's really not the knee. It's actually the foot and the toe area. Knee was checked out today; he's good there. No issues. Obviously sore from the hit. But we're still getting some more testing done on his foot and toe area." We'll track Lawrence's status this week but expect him to be ready for Week 14.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence overcame a scary shot to his left knee at the end of the 1st half Sunday against the Lions. He returned after the break and made it through the game, giving way to C.J. Beathard for only the final possession of the blowout loss. Lawrence managed just 17-of-31 passing, though, for 179 yards and 1 TD. The disappointing outing followed Lawrence's best 3-game stretch of the season. That makes it tough to know how to treat Lawrence for next week's 1st meeting of the year with the Titans. Tennessee just finished getting beat up by Eagles QB Jalen Hurts and his WRs and has proved much tougher in run defense than against the pass.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence injured his left leg taking a sack in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Lions. We'll pass along an update when we get one. QB C.J. Beathard is Jacksonville's backup.

Update: Lawrence returned for the start of the 2nd half.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence racked up a season-high 321 yards and 3 TDs in Sunday's win over the Ravens. He found RB JaMycal Hasty, WR Jamal Agnew and WR Marvin Jones Jr. for TDs, with WR Zay Jones as his dominant lead target (11-145). Lawrence completed 78.4% of his passes, adding a 2-point conversion throw to Jones for the game-winning points. That makes 3 straight games with better than 70% completions for Lawrence, who gets upside matchups with the Lions and Titans the next 2 weeks.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence ran for a season-high 53 yards in Sunday's win over the Raiders. He matched his season high of 6 rushing attempts from Week 6. Lawrence has increased his rushes over the past 5 contests (4.6 per game) vs. the first 4 (2.5). He also went 25-of-31 passing against Las Vegas, for 235 yards and 1 TD. The 109 passer rating marked just his 2nd game among the past 6 with a rating better than 84.3. The Jaguars head to Kansas City in Week 10.

The Falcons are trading WR Calvin Ridley to the Jaguars in exchange for what NFL Network's Ian Rapoport calls a "complex draft compensation that can be worth at maximum a 2023 5th rounder and a 2024 2nd rounder." We'll pass along further details on the return when we have them. Ridley, of course, is suspended for at least the rest of the 2022 season for gambling on NFL games. He'll be able to apply for reinstatement in February. Assuming that gets granted, he'll join Jacksonville as a 28-year-old with a 1,374-yard 2020 season under his belt. It's a risky move for the Jaguars, but one that could pay off big time. Ridley and Christian Kirk have the potential to be a strong duo for QB Trevor Lawrence, who's had an up-and-down start to his NFL career.

Update: Per Rapoport, the 2024 draft pick starts as a 4th-rounder. It becomes a 3rd if Ridley hits a play-time milestone and a 2nd if Ridley agrees to a long-term deal with Jacksonville.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence threw for just 133 yards in Sunday morning's loss to the Broncos, with 1 TD and a pair of INTs. Lawrence threw right into the grip of S Justin Simmons at the goal line in the 2nd quarter, and then tossed the clinching pick to CB K'Waun Williams late. TE Evan Engram led the Jags in receptions (4) and receiving yards (55), and snagged the TD pass. WR Christian Kirk led with 7 targets but managed just 3 catches for 40 yards. Jacksonville gets a favorable draw against the Raiders in Week 9.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence threw for 310 yards and claimed a 1-yard TD on the ground in Sunday's loss to the Giants. It wasn't his most efficient passing day. Despite taking 0 sacks and avoiding turnovers, Lawrence completed just 22 of his 43 attempts (51.2%). His 3 rushing TDs over the past 2 games have saved otherwise lackluster fantasy outings. All 3 came from 2 yards out or closer, though, and Lawrence is averaging just 12 rushing yards per game. Lawrence did plenty of scoring on the ground near the goal line in college, but his recent rushing-TD binge looks more luck-driven than projectable factor.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence endured a 2nd straight rough outing in Sunday's loss to the Texans. He completed just 53.2% of his passes and threw 2 INTs, with no TDs. That marks 2 straight games with multiple turnovers after a much stronger start to the year. Lawrence sent 11 targets to WR Marvin Jones, 10 to TE Evan Engram and 8 to WR Zay Jones, who returned after missing Week 4 with an ankle sprain. WR Christian Kirk drew just 3 looks but led Jacksonville pass-catchers in snaps and routes. The Jaguars get a Week 6 rematch with the Colts, who they beat 24-0 in Week 2. Then comes a home date with the Giants.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence threw an INT and lost 4 fumbles in Sunday's rain-soaked loss in Philadelphia. He also managed just 11 of 23 passing for 174 yards. Lawrence did hit WR Jamal Agnew for a pair of TDs, but the 5 turnovers wiped out all fantasy value. Lawrence and the Jacksonville offense get a nice rebound matchup at home with Houston in Week 5.

11:35am EDT 10/2/22

Jaguars WR Zay Jones (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Eagles. That leaves WRs Jamal Agnew, Tim Jones and Kendric Pryor behind Christian Kirk and Marvin Jones. Kirk, Marvin Jones, TE Evan Engram and RB Travis Etienne could pick up extra volume with Zay Jones out.
