Patrick Mahomes Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes threw for a season-low 223 yards on 16-of-27 passing in Sunday's loss to the Bengals. K.C. leaned more toward the run than usual, going 55.5% pass vs. 44.5% run. Mahomes threw just 1 TD pass for the 2nd week in a row, finding RB Jerick McKinnon from 2 yards out in the 2nd quarter. Mahomes did, at least, run for a 3-yard TD in the 3rd quarter to help his fantasy line. Next comes a Denver defense that has been tough on the pass for much of the year. Mahomes threw for 184 and 270 in last year's 2 meetings with the Broncos.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes didn't have his sharpest outing in Sunday's win over the Rams. He did throw for 320 yards, hitting 10 different teammates with no Chief collecting more than 57 receiving yards. TE Travis Kelce led in yards and targets (8), claiming the TD among his 4 catches. Rookie WR Skyy Moore led the team with 5 catches (for just 36 yards) among 6 targets. WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling was the only other Chief to catch more than 3 balls or crack 40 yards.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes overcame a slow-ish start for his team to throw for 329 yards and 3 TDs in Sunday night's win over the Chargers. He found TE Travis Kelce for all 3 scores and 35% of his yardage. K.C. entered the game without JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman, and then lost Kadarius Toney to a hamstring injury. That left Skyy Moore and Justin Watson as the most productive wideouts, at 63 and 67 yards, respectively. It was Mahomes' 6th game this season of 3+ TDs and his 5th straight with more than 300 passing yards.

The Chiefs acquired WR Kadarius Toney from the Giants in exchange for a 2023 3rd-round compensatory pick and a 2023 6th-round pick. Injuries have limited Toney to just 12 games over his first 1-and-a-half NFL seasons, including only 2 this year. But he's flashed exciting route-running and after-the-catch ability when on the field. This is about the best-case scenario for his fantasy value, which seemed almost non-existent in New York. We'll see when Toney is able to get on the field after missing the past 5 weeks with hamstring trouble -- and then how he fits in alongside WRs JuJu Smith-Schuster, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Mecole Hardman. But if he can find playing time with QB Patrick Mahomes, Toney could quickly emerge as a fantasy factor. He's worth grabbing now in leagues where he was dropped.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes threw for 423 yards, 3 TDs and 1 INT in Sunday's win at San Francisco. WR JuJu Smith-Schuster and TE Travis Kelce tied for the target lead with 8. Smith-Schuster racked up a 7-124-1 receiving line, his 2nd straight game with more than 100 yards and a TD. Kelce supplied 98 yards on 6 catches. WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling caught 3 of 4 targets for 111 yards. Mahomes' other 2 scores went to WR Mecole Hardman (on a shovel pass) and WR Justin Watson. K.C. gets a Week 8 bye and then home dates with the Titans and Jaguars.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes threw for 338 yards and 2 TDs but also got picked twice in Sunday's loss to the Bills. It was his 1st 300-yard game since Week 1 but the 2nd straight week in which Mahomes reached 40 pass attempts. He gets a trip to San Francisco in Week 7 ahead of the Week 8 bye.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes delivered 292 passing yards and 4 TD passes in Monday night's comeback win over the Raiders. He added 28 yards on 4 rushing attempts to finished 2nd in fantasy points among QBs for the week. Mahomes now sits 4th among QBs for the season (possibly depending on your league's scoring). Week 6 brings a challenging matchup with the Bills, but also potential shootout conditions.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes went 23-of-37 passing for 249 yards and 3 TDs with 1 INT in Sunday night's loss at Tampa Bay. Mahomes found TE Travis Kelce, TE Jody Fortson and RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire for TDs. Kelce (10) and WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (8) led the Chiefs in targets and receptions. A Week 5 home date with the Raiders looks even more favorable for the K.C. offense.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes completed 20 of 35 passes (57.1%) for 262 yards (7.48 per attempt), 1 TD and 1 INT in Sunday's loss to the Colts. It was a disappointing performance vs. a defense that had been soft against the pass through 2 games. But there's no larger takeaway on Mahomes' outlook here. A Week 4 visit to Tampa Bay looks challenging and might push Mahomes further down our top 12 than usual. Then come matchups with the Raiders, Bills and 49ers before the Week 8 bye. Buffalo and San Francisco don't look like easy spots either. We'll see about Mahomes' specific projections as we get closer.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes delivered 360 yards and 5 TDs on 30-of-39 passing in Sunday's laugher at Arizona. Mahomes largely spread targets around, dealing 9 to TE Travis Kielce, 8 to WR JuJu Smith-Schuster, 6 to WR Mecole Hardman -- with 3 other guys drawing at least 3. RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire snagged 2 of the TD throws, with 1 apiece going to Kielce, Hardman and TE Joe Fortson. It was a soft Cardinals defense, but Mahomes let fantasy football players know we need not worry too much about life after Tyreek Hill.

ESPN's Dianna Russini reports that the Chiefs are "calling teams" trying to trade for a "top receiver." We could speculate on whom that might mean, but who would have ever guess that this offseason would include Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill being traded. For now, it's just a signal that we shouldn't get too comfy with the idea of either JuJu Smith-Schuster or Marquez Valdes-Scantling leading Kansas City in targets this season. Keep this possibility in mind as you decide where to value the recently signed wideouts in current best-ball drafting.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes cleared concussion protocol, HC Andy Reid said after Sunday's loss to the Titans. We'll keep an eye on Mahomes this coming week, but it looks like he'll be available for next Monday night's game vs. the Giants.

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes took a knee to the head as he was falling to the ground in the 4th quarter of Sunday's game vs. Tennessee. He was noticeably woozy as he was helped off the field. Mahomes will certainly be checked for a concussion. We'll update his status when we know more.
