Kyle Pitts Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Falcons rookie WR Drake London absorbed 12 targets in Sunday's loss to the Rams, accounting for 46% of the team's total pass attempts. he caught 8 for 86 yards and 1 of QB Marcus Mariota's 2 TD passes. (Olamide Zaccheaus snagged the other.) No other Falcon topped 3 targets in the game, with TE Kyle Pitts tying WR KhaDarel Hodge for that #2 spot. Pitts caught 2 for 19 yards. His playing time remained strong, as Pitts played 7 more snaps and ran 1 more route than London. We'll need more than that going forward, though. Matchups with Seattle and Cleveland the next 2 weeks have potential to help.

Falcons WR Drake London drew 12 targets among just 26 Marcus Mariota pass attempts in Sunday's loss to the Rams. London racked up an 8-86-1 receiving line, while no teammate drew more than 3 looks. Through 2 games, the rookie has garnered 32.2% of Atlanta's total pass attempts. TE Kyle Pitts got just 3 targets against the Rams, tying WR KhaDarel Hodge for 2nd on the team. Pitts caught 2 for 19 yards.

Falcons rookie WR Drake London led the team in catches (5) and receiving yards (74) in Sunday's narrow loss to the Saints, despite entering the weekend questionable with a knee issue. London matched TE Kyle Pitts for the team target lead at 7. That accounted for 21.2% of the team's 33 pass attempts in the game, which would be a good level for both players. They'll need better QB efficiency than Sunday's 6.5 yards per attempt (and 0 TD passes) to capitalize, though.

Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Saints. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday but comes with elevated risk in Week 18 fantasy lineups.

Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Saints. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. Pitts said Thursday that he expects to play, but the team will have the final say. Falcons-Saints doesn’t kick off until 4:25 pm ET on Sunday, but we’ll look for an update on Pitts’ status that morning.

Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. He told reporters afterward that he'll play vs. the Saints this weekend, but we wouldn't take his status for granted just yet. We'll get another update on Pitts on Friday afternoon.

Falcons TE Kyle Pitts (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. He needs 59 yards to break Mike Ditka's record for receiving yards in a season by a rookie TE, but it looks like he might not get the chance.

Falcons TE Kyle Pitts suffered an apparent hamstring injury in the 1st half of Sunday’s game at Buffalo. He posted 2 catches for 69 yards before departing. We’ll let you know if he returns in the 2nd half.

Update: Pitts returned for the start of the 2nd half.

Falcons WR Calvin Ridley is INACTIVE for today's game vs. the Panthers due to a personal matter. He also missed Week 5 for the same reason. Ridley's absence leaves Atlanta with WRs Russell Gage, Olamide Zaccheaus and Tajae Sharpe atop the depth chart. TE Kyle Pitts and RB Cordarrelle Patterson should also play even bigger roles in the passing game.

Falcons WR Calvin Ridley did not travel with the team to London and is out for Sunday's game vs. the Jets due to a personal matter, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. We'll look for more info on the situation and whether Ridley will be out beyond Week 5. WR Russell Gage (ankle) is also out for Sunday's game, leaving Atlanta with WRs Olamide Zaccheaus, Tajae Sharpe and Christian Blake. We wouldn't mess with them in fantasy lineups. RB Cordarrelle Patterson will continue to play a big role in this passing game. And TE Kyle Pitts should see more volume with Ridley out.

Falcons WR Russell Gage (ankle) is out for Sunday's game against the Giants. That leaves Olamide Zaccheaus, Christian Blake and Tajae Sharp as Atlanta's 2nd through 4th WRs. None of those guys are viable fantasy options. Gage's absence should just mean a few extra targets for WR Calvin Ridley and TE Kyle Pitts.
