Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Dolphins. He was a full participant in practice all week, but the team continues to be super cautious with his return from last August’s multi-ligament knee injury. We’ll see if Dobbins returns for Week 3. Kenyan Drake figures to operate as Baltimore’s lead back today after tallying 11 carries and 1 target in the opener.

"It appears unlikely" that Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) plays against the Dolphins today, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport tweets. "He's pushing to go, but the team will make sure he's ready before he plays," Rapoport adds. Dobbins got in 3 full practices this week, but the Ravens continue to be super cautious with his return. So it looks like Kenyan Drake will get another game as Baltimore's lead back.

The Ravens list RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Dolphins. He was a full participant in practice all week, though, so we're expecting Dobbins to play. We're also expecting his touches to be limited in his first action since last August's multi-ligament knee injury, so Dobbins is better off on fantasy benches for at least 1 more week.

Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) put in his 2nd straight full practice on Thursday. He remains on track to make his 2022 debut vs. the Dolphins this weekend.

Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) was listed as a full participant in Wednesday's practice. That seemingly puts him on track to make his 2022 debut vs. the Dolphins on Sunday. We're not expecting Dobbins to take on a full workload in his 1st game since his multi-ligament knee injury, leaving him as a risky Week 2 fantasy play.

Kenyan Drake got the 1st and most touches among Ravens RBs in Sunday's 24-9 win at the Jets. He handled both RB carries on the team's 1st drive and finished with 11 rushes to Mike Davis' 2. He produced just 31 yards, however (2.8 per rush) and added a single 15-yard catch on his only target. Justice Hill led RBs with 2 targets, while Davis got 0. J.K. Dobbins was inactive but worked out before the game and entered the day "questionable." His return is nearing and might come as soon as Week 2.

Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) is inactive for today’s game against the Jets. Dobbins was pushing to play and told ESPN’s Dianni Russini this morning that he’ll be back “soon.” We’ll continue to keep you updated on his progress. RBs Mike Davis, Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill are active for Baltimore today.

ESPN's Dianna Russini hears that Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) is a game-time decision for today's opener vs. the Jets but is trending toward sitting. "It’s unlikely he plays but he’s going to try," Russini tweeted. Dobbins should be on fantasy benches even if he ends up active today. Look for Mike Davis and Kenyan Drake to handle most of Baltimore's RB work.

Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Jets. He was limited in practice all week. QB Lamar Jackson seemed to suggest on Wednesday that Dobbins would not play in the opener, but it looks like he at least has a shot. We'd expect Dobbins to be on a snap count if he does play, though, and wouldn't use him in Week 1 fantasy lineups.

Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) remained limited in Thursday's practice. We're not expecting him to play vs. the Jets this weekend, but we'll see how he's listed on the final injury report tomorrow.

Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins (knee) put in a limited practice Wednesday. The team has yet to say whether he'll play in the opener. QB Lamar Jackson told reporters after practice that "hopefully he'll be out in a couple of weeks." That comment came after Jackson said he wanted Dobbins to "slow down" with his work to return. We certainly won't take this as an official status report. But the QB's words point to Dobbins likely missing at least 1 game. We'll keep tracking the RB's progress.

RB Kenyan Drake is signing with the Ravens, according to insider Jordan Schultz. Drake was dumped by HC Josh McDaniels and the new Raiders regime a little over a week ago. He turns 29 in January and, while he remained effective as a pass catcher last year, he averaged just 4.0 yards per carry and ranked 42nd among 77 qualifying RBs in Pro Football Focus' rushing grades. Drake is an insurance policy for a Ravens team still waiting for RBs J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards to get over their 2021 knee injuries. We'll see whether Dobbins is ready for Week 1. If not, the Ravens figure to roll with Drake and Mike Davis.

The Ravens will host free-agent RB Kenyan Drake today, and it sounds like he's expected to sign with the team, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. This move could signal J.K. Dobbins not being ready for Week 1. Or perhaps Baltimore doesn't feel as good about Mike Davis as his depth-chart slot might seem. We'll see how this situation develops as the opener approaches.

If you've been getting excited over the upside of Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins in the wake of Gus Edwards landing on the regular-season PUP list, then you might want to pump the brakes. "Even if Dobbins suits up for the season opener, he won't get a full workload," ESPN's Jamison Hensley says. "It's too early to predict when Dobbins will get back to receiving double-digit touches in games." Hensley adds that Mike Davis "could get the most carries early in the season and remain part of Baltimore's game plan throughout the season." We still wouldn't select Davis before the late rounds of fantasy football drafts. But this potential role is certainly worth noting -- if for nothing else other than helping to set realistic expectations for Dobbins.

The Ravens have placed RB Gus Edwards (ACL) on the Reserve/PUP list. That means he'll miss at least the 1st 4 games of the regular season. His absence leaves room for J.K. Dobbins to operate as likely the clear backfield leader at least early in the season. We wouldn't be surprised, though, if Baltimore avoids overworking Dobbins off his own ACL tear. Mike Davis currently appears headed for the #2 RB role early in the year, though we'll see how that sorts out over the next couple of weeks.

Despite coming off the PUP list last week, Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins' availability for Week 1 is still uncertain, HC John Harbaugh admitted Wednesday. "He's made some good progress this week," Harbaugh said. "We measure times of how fast he runs, how fast he decelerates, how fast he changes direction. You can see the improvement is tangible. So, we'll see." The decision to remove Dobbins from the PUP list means the Ravens expect him back by at least Week 4. We'll continue to keep a close eye on his progress.
