Jarvis Landry Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Saints WR Jarvis Landry (ankle) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Bengals. The 29-year-old has seemingly been banged-up all season and is not a must-hold on fantasy rosters.

Saints WRs Michael Thomas (foot) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) remained sidelined on Thursday. At this point, both guys look likely to miss this weekend's game vs. the Bengals. We'll see if that changes on Friday.

Saints QB Jameis Winston (back, ankle) put in a limited practice Wednesday. That marks the 1st time he has been listed as limited since before the Week 4 game he missed. We'll continue to monitor Winston status throughout the week. WRs Jarvis Landry (ankle) and Michael Thomas (foot) remained out of practice Wednesday.

Saints WR Jarvis Landry (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Seahawks. With WR Michael Thomas also out, New Orleans is down to WRs Chris Olave, Marquez Callaway, Tre’Quan Smith and Deonte Harty.

Saints WR Jarvis Landry (ankle) was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game vs. the Seahawks. HC Dennis Allen said Friday that he expects Landry to play, but he's an uninspiring fantasy option at less than 100%.

Saints QB Andy Dalton completed 20 of 28 passes (71.4%) for 236 yards (8.4 yards per attempt) and 1 TD in Sunday's narrow loss to the Vikings in London. He spread the targets around, with WR Chris Olave drawing a team-high 7, WR Marquez Callaway getting 6, TE Juwan Johnson seeing 4 and no one else topping 3. Olave's 4 receptions and 67 yards led the team. Four other Saints caught 3 balls. Jarvis Landry came away with a mere 2 catches for 7 yards on 2 targets. We'll see about QB Jameis Winston's status for the Week 5 home date with Seattle.

Saints WR Jarvis Landry (ankle) is active for today's game vs. the Vikings. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday, but it's unclear how close to 100% he'll be today. New Orleans needs him, though, with WR Michael Thomas out.

Saints HC Dennis Allen said Sunday morning that WR Jarvis Landry will play today against the Vikings, according to Stacey Dales of NFL Network. Landry is officially questionable with an ankle issue but should be good to go as 1 of New Orleans' top 2 wideouts. (Michael Thomas is out.)

Saints WR Jarvis Landry (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Vikings. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday and seems on track to play. But check back around 8 am ET on Sunday to make sure he's active.

The Saints have ruled WR Michael Thomas (foot) out for Sunday morning's game against the Vikings in London. Thomas' absence leaves target share available for WRs Chris Olave and Jarvis Landry, as well as TE Juwan Johnson. We'll see how much longer this foot issue is expected to hamper Thomas.

Saints WR Jarvis Landry (ankle) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. That seemingly puts him on track to play vs. the Vikings on Sunday morning, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.

Saints WRs Michael Thomas (toe) and Jarvis Landry (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. Their injuries reportedly aren't serious, but consider them uncertain for this weekend's game vs. the Vikings. We'll get another update on their statuses tomorrow.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport hears that the injuries to Saints WRs Michael Thomas (toe) and Jarvis Landry (foot) are not believed to be serious. Rapoport says Landry is "dealing with soreness," while Thomas' foot injury is not to the same side as his previous ankle injury. Both guys are scheduled for additional testing on Monday, but it sounds like they have a shot to play against the Vikings in London on Sunday morning.

Saints WR Jarvis Landry is questionable to return to Sunday's game vs. the Panthers with an ankle injury. Stay tuned for an update.

Saints WR Michael Thomas checked in 2nd among Saints in targets in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers, catching 6 of his 9 looks for 65 yards and the team's only TD. Thomas is looking like a weekly starter, drawing 23% of targets through 2 games. WR Jarvis Landry saw his targets dip vs. Week 1 but maintained his position among the top 3 in routes. TE Juwan Johnson checked in just behind the 3 wideouts in route rate, running a route on 68.8% of Jameis Winston drop backs. His 7 targets ranked 3rd on the team and produced a decent 4-40 receiving line.

Rookie WR Chris Olave led the Saints with 13 targets in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers. He caught just 5 of them, though, tallying 80 yards. Olave notably spent a lot of time working downfield, though. According to Pro Football Focus, he sported a 26.1-yard average depth of target for the game. He became the 1st player to ever do so on 13+ targets in PFF's 17 years of charting data, and the 1st to do so on 10+ targets since Mike Wallace in 2013. Olave checked in close with Michael Thomas and Jarvis Landry in playing time and routes once again. It won't be surprising if the targets continue to fluctuate among that top 3. Olave's tremendous ADOT, though, will make it easier for him to deliver above-average efficiency. QB Jameis Winston and the passing game might be in for better defensive matchups until a Week 10 visit to Pittsburgh.

Saints WR Jarvis Landry racked up the most targets (9), receptions (7) and receiving yards (114) on the team in Sunday's dramatic victory over the Falcons. He edged Michael Thomas by a target and watched Thomas snag both of the team's receiving TDs. But each vet finished well ahead of rookie WR Chris Olave's 3 targets. TE Juwan Johnson ranked 3rd on the team with 5 looks.
