Damar Hamlin Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Bills LB Terrel Bernard suffered a strain -- rather than a tear -- to his right pectoral in Thursday night's win over the Dolphins. Both NFL Network's Kyle Brandt and ESPN's Adam Schefter report that the team expects Bernard to miss about a month. Whether the Bills put him on IR ahead of the Week 3 game against Jacksonville should tell us if they think he can get back in fewer than four games.

The NFL announced Tuesday that it won't resume the Bills-Bengals game -- halted by S Damar Hamlin's collapse -- this week. The league added that it will keep the Week 18 schedule intact and that no decision has yet been made on how to treat Monday night's game going forward. That means fantasy football leagues and contest providers will either have to wait for further word on the resumption of that contest or figure out alternate solutions. We'll certainly be watching for updates on that front -- as well as, of course, any updates on Hamlin's condition.

Bills LB Tremaine Edmunds (groin, heel) and EDGE Greg Rousseau (ankle) each put in full practices Monday and Tuesday, which makes them appear on track to return for Thursday night's game against the Patriots. Edmunds had decent outings against New England last year, tallying 7, 8 and 8 tackles in 3 meetings. You can find him and Rousseau in our Week 13 IDP rankings. Elsewhere on the injury report: S Damar Hamlin and CB Dane Jackson each missed Monday's practice with illness but returned for Tuesday's workout.

The Bills have ruled S Jordan Poyer out for Sunday's game against the Steelers because of his rib injury. S Damar Hamlin started in place of S Micah Hyde last week and should remain in the lineup. We'll see who replaces Poyer, who didn't miss a snap in the Week 4 win over Baltimore. Jaquan Johnson started next to Hamlin in Week 3, when Buffalo last went without both starting safeties. He looks like the best bet to join Hamlin again. We'd try to look elsewhere for IDP options in most cases.
