Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Packers WR Christian Watson is expected to play for the first time this season tonight against the Lions. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports that Green Bay will "be careful" with Watson's workload, however. We'll watch for any further specifics ahead of kickoff, but we'll all likely be guessing at just how big a role Watson plays in his return from a multi-week hamstring injury. He sits in WR4 range of our Week 4 WR rankings. Watson presents upside from there, even if the Packers limit his snaps and targets. He looks fairly risky vs. the top 36, though. There's certainly room to decide how willing you are to take on Watson's risk vs. his big-play reward potential.
The Packers list WR Christian Watson (hamstring) as questionable for Thursday night's game against the Lions. He remained limited in this abbreviated practice week. But Watson said Tuesday that he expects to be ready to play, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. We'll check his status ahead of kickoff. There will obviously be risk to playing Watson in your fantasy lineup in his first game back. But he brings upside every time he's on the field as well. Check our Week 4 WR rankings before setting your lineup.
Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) was limited in Tuesday's walkthrough. "That's the plan," he said afterward when asked whether he'll play vs. the Lions on Thursday night. We'll see how Watson is listed on the final injury report tomorrow.
Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Saints. He got in two limited practices this week, but the team continues to play it safe with Watson. We’ll see if he can make it back for Week 4. Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed will again serve as Green Bay’s top two WRs today.
Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Saints. He got in limited practices on Wednesday and Friday, sitting out on Thursday, which HC Matt LaFleur said was the plan for the week. We’ll look for further updates on Watson’s status and will get Green Bay’s inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday. Watson will be a risk/reward WR3 in fantasy lineups if he suits up.
Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) did not practice on Thursday, after being limited on Wednesday. HC Matt LaFleur said it was a planned day off, but it certainly casts some doubt on whether Watson will play vs. the Saints this weekend. Check back tomorrow for another update.
Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. He returned to a limited practice for the first time since going down last Friday before missing the Falcons game. We're tentatively expecting Watson to play vs. the Saints this weekend but will keep tabs on his progress over the next few days.
Packers rookie WR Jayden Reed saw a team-leading 8 targets in Week 2, hauling in 4 catches for 37 yards and a pair of TDs vs. the Falcons. Last week’s star, Romeo Doubs, only corralled 2 of his 3 targets for 30 yards in this contest. It’s tough to take a lot away from these first couple of games since WR Christian Watson has yet to make his season debut due to a hamstring injury. Even so, it appears as though the Packers’ passing game is fairly potent with QB Jordan Love under center. There’s reason to be excited about this group in Week 3 vs. the Saints. Watch out for practice reports in the coming days to see if Love will have his full arsenal of weapons available to him.
Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Falcons. He returned to a limited practice on Friday, so a Week 3 return looks possible. Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed will be Green Bay’s top two WRs today.
Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is not expected to play vs. the Falcons today, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Watson returned to a limited practice on Friday, seemingly setting him up for a Week 3 return. Romeo Doubs and Jayden Reed will operate as Green Bay's top two WRs today.
Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Falcons. He returned to a limited practice on Friday, his first official practice of the season. We'd still be a little surprised if Watson played on Sunday, but we'll get Green Bay's inactives around 11:30 am ET.
Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) missed practice again on Thursday. He's a long shot to play vs. the Falcons this weekend and should be on fantasy benches.
Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. He was spotted doing some rehab work off to the side at the beginning of the session. But fantasy owners shouldn't be counting on Watson returning for Sunday's game vs. the Falcons. We'll see if he's able to practice tomorrow.
Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) told reporters on Monday that he's not sure he'll be ready for Week 2. He at least said that he doesn't believe a trip to IR is necessary. He added that the hamstring injury is to the same right leg as last year but added, “they’re all a little different” and it’s “not the same thing, not in the same spot," per ESPN's Rob Demovsky. We'll track Watson's progress throughout the week.
Packers WR Romeo Doubs hauled in a pair of receiving TDs in Week 1 vs. the Bears. The second-year wideout only mustered 4 catches on 5 targets for 26 receiving yards in the victory, though fantasy managers aren’t too picky about that when a player finds the end zone twice. We’ll see how Doubs fares once teammate Christian Watson (hamstring) returns to the lineup, though preseason reports early in the summer suggested that Love and Doubs built a solid rapport in OTAs. Will it continue in Week 2 vs. the Falcons? We would be remiss to exclude the efforts of TE Luke Musgrave, a player who caught 3 of 4 targets for 50 yards in his NFL debut. Congrats to the rookie.
Packers HC Matt LaFleur labeled WR Christian Watson "week-to-week" with his hamstring injury but said he doesn't think it will be a "3- or 4-week thing," according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky. Watson has already been ruled out for Week 1, and it sounds like we should consider him questionable at best for Week 2.
Packers WR Christian Watson (hamstring) is out for Sunday's opener vs. the Bears. He didn't practice all week, leaving his availability for Week 2 and beyond uncertain. We'll track his status when Green Bay gets back to work next week.
