A.T. Perry Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Saints WR A.T. Perry (hand) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report for Sunday’s game vs. the Cowboys. Perry ran as New Orleans’ No. 4 WR this preseason and is not on the fantasy radar right now.

Saints WR Rashid Shaheed (quad) is "likely" to miss Sunday's game against the Lions, according to insider Nick Underhill. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport adds that Shaheed avoided a major injury, so he can stay stashed on benches in deeper fantasy leagues. WR Chris Olave is also iffy for Week 13 with his concussion, which could leave A.T. Perry, Keith Kirkwood, and Lynn Bowden as New Orleans' top three WRs. We'd expect to see a lot of Alvin Kamara, Taysom Hill, and Juwan Johnson in that case.

The Saints placed WR Michael Thomas on IR with his knee injury. He's out for at least the next four games, which makes Week 16 his earliest possible return date. Thomas would be tough to trust in fantasy lineups at that point. He can be dropped from redraft rosters. His absence should leave WRs Rashid Shaheed and rookie A.T. Perry in full-time roles. See where those guys sit in the Week 12 WR rankings.

Saints HC Dennis Allen called WR Michael Thomas' knee injury "fairly significant." He added that the injury isn't believed to be season-ending but that Thomas is getting a second opinion. The Saints have a Week 11 bye, but it sounds like we should expect Thomas to miss multiple games beyond that. He's droppable in most redraft fantasy leagues. Rookie WR A.T. Perry replaced Thomas in the Week 11 loss to the Vikings, catching two of four targets for 38 yards and a score. He's worth a look on the waiver wire in deep leagues. WRs Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed should also pick up more work with Thomas out.

Saints rookie WR A.T. Perry passed a physical and practiced with the team on Wednesday. He was placed on the non-football injury list last week. For now, Perry's merely a dynasty stash.

Saints WR A.T. Perry was placed on the non-football injury list. Team insider Nick Underhill calls it a “small injury” for the rookie Round 6 pick. Perry’s off the redraft radar, but we’ll let you know when he hits the field for training camp.

The Saints selected Wake Forest WR A.T. Perry in Round 6 of the 2023 NFL Draft. Perry spent five years in college and did very little until his fourth season. But he was ultra-productive the past 2 years, totaling 2,389 yards and 26 TDs. Perry is a long 6’4, 198-pounder with a big catch radius (6’10 wingspan) and a 4.47-second 40 time. He’ll need to hit the weight room to hold up against more physical NFL CBs. But his combination of size, speed, and ball skills is intriguing.
