Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill took to social media in response to tweets alleging him to be a trade candidate, hinting that he still may be gone from the Miami Dolphins. Though his emoji only messages don't give a clear picture, it is obvious the relationship between Hill and the Dolphins may still have problems. His large contract makes a trade difficult, but a trade during or leading up to the draft is possible.
Hill continues to recover from offseason wrist surgery which could also be a factor in terms of trade potential. But, he clearly is making his voice heard.
He dropped from WR2 in 2023 to WR17 in 2024. He caught 37 less passes and had seven less receiving TDs in 2024 compared to 2023.
The entire Dolphins' passing game struggled last season, and Hill appears to be disgruntled based on how the season went and his comments
Hill made comments back in January about "doing what was best for his career" but Dolphins GM Chris Grier stated that Hill never requested a trade. He has not rescinded those comments.
If Hil has shown signs of being out on the Dolphins and their offense, the team will likely kick the tires on potential trades and see what compensation they could receive.
But, Hill's cap hit of around $28.7 million makes that a tall hurdle to jump to get a deal done.
