The Saints have ruled RB Alvin Kamara out for Monday night's game against the Packers because of his groin injury. That comes as no surprise and aligns with what HC Darren Rizzi indicated earlier this week.
HC Darren Rizzi earlier this week: "If Alvin Kamara doesn't play, it's gonna have to be a committee approach. Jamaal Williams is gonna have to step up. The other running backs are gonna have to step up. Certainly, Kendre Miller is gonna have to be a big part of that committee."
We're betting Miller will stand as the clear leader of that committee. But we obviously have no games with this Kamara-less backfield from which to judge.
Miller handled all non-Kamara touches in last week's backfield. Bet on Williams getting more than nothing this week.
Combine that workload uncertainty with a terrible offensive outlook. Green Bay's favored by 14, and the Saints carry an implied team total of just 13.75 by Vegas numbers.
That makes Miller a shaky fantasy bet, though he carries upside from mid-to-low RB3 range.
