Bills QB Josh Allen posted a career-high 55.3 fantasy points in Sunday’s loss to the Rams. Allen accounted for six total TDs (three passing, three rushing).
Allen took an aggressive attitude into this game, with a deep throw rate just shy of 20%. He recorded an impressive 11.4 air yards per attempt.
His biggest play went for a 51-yard TD to Khalil Shakir. He broke open on a simple in-breaker and outran the Rams defense to the end zone.
Allen’s other TDs went to WR Mack Hollins and reserve RB Ty Johnson. Allen put a downfield fade in a great spot on Hollins’ TD, while Johnson did all of the work on a 41-yard screen pass.
All three of Allen’s rushing TDs came on sneaks at the one yard-line.
The Bills superstar has now hit 23 fantasy points in eight straight going back to Week 6. He’ll be needed for all four quarters as the Bills now hit the road to face the 12-1 Lions.
Buffalo's run game wasn't a factor in this one, as the Rams raced out to leads of 17-7 and 31-14. James Cook finished with 6 carries for only 20 yards. Ray Davis, meanwhile, was held without a carry.
Look for game script to rebound this week against a banged up Lions defense. Continue to treat Cook as a fringe RB1.
