49ers WR Jauan Jennings caught seven of his eight targets for 90 yards and two TDs. Teammate Deebo Samuel had a rougher go of it catching only two of his three targets for 22 yards. Samuel also ran the ball five times for only 13 yards.
With both Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason out, Samuel was expcected to get more looks as a runner. Outside of an eight yard run, he was plugged up at or behind the line of scrimmage.
Jennings is shining in the Brandon Aiyuk role and was QB Brock Purdy’s top target leading the team with those eight targets.
