WR Adam Thielen racked up 9 receptions for 102 yards in Sunday's loss to the Eagles. The numbers look even better when you check his shares of the Carolina team totals. Thielen's 11 targets constituted 32.4% of QB Bryce Young's total pass attempts. He also commanded 47.4% of the team's total receptions and 53.4% of Panthers receiving yards.
That's two straight games of 10+ targets, 8+ catches, and 99+ yards for Thielen, who played a similar role for most of last year in Carolina's offense.
David Moore and Xavier Legette remained heavily involved from a route perspective against Philly. Legette actually ran two more routes and Moore just one fewer.
Legette checked in second on the team with 8 targets but caught only two (for 39 yards). That included a missed reception late in the fourth quarter on a pass that nearly delivered a go-ahead TD.
Thielen clearly stands as the most reliable Carolina target. And Young continues to play significantly better than he did before the benching.
Thielen gets a decent finish to his fantasy schedule with a neutral Dallas matchup, then a tougher spot against Arizona and a positive spot at Tampa Bay.
Legette, meanwhile, has seen 8 targets in consecutive games and caught 4+ passes in four of his past six outings.
