Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence is expected to have surgery to repair the AC joint injury in his left shoulder, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Lawrence was set to play through the injury but sustained a concussion early in the Week 13 loss to the Texans. He won't play again this year but is expected to make a "full recovery" for the 2025 season, per Rapoport.
It was an injury-riddled, underwhelming 2024 season from Lawrence. He sits 28th among QBs in fantasy points per game and finished as a top-12 QB in just two of his 10 outings. Here are his finished in points per game through his first four NFL seasons:
Lawrence is signed with the Jaguars through the 2030 and has a promising young WR in Brian Thomas Jr. at his disposal. There will very likely be a new coaching staff in Jacksonville for 2025 and beyond.
Lawrence is still only 25 and has job security. But he should only be considered a QB2 on dynasty rosters.
Jeremiah Smith may be a lock to be one of the best WR prospects in decades as the best current devy prospect. See who else are future dynasty fantasy stars.
