Bears QB Caleb Williams threw for 231 yards on 23 of 31 passing in Sunday's loss to Green Bay. He went without a TD pass for the fourth straight game.
What They're Saying
Here’s former NFL player and current analyst Matt Bowen on Williams’ Week 11 performance (via X):
“Caleb Williams was much more decisive with his decision making as a runner/thrower. New OC Thomas Brown added elements to the game plan with formation/movement.”
One more notable comment, this time from insider Jay Glazer (via X):
“Bears rookie QB Caleb Williams actually got up in a team meeting after OC Shane Waldron was fired and APOLOGIZED for his part in the offense stalling enough where Waldron was fired. Teammates were very impressed by the accountability and his decision to do that.”
2024 Fantasy Football Impact
Williams made several big-time plays in this one, particularly on Chicago’s final drive. Among them: a 4th and 3 conversion on a beautiful back-shoulder ball to Rome Odunze. The rookie led all Bears pass catchers with 10 targets and 65 yards.
Williams also stood out as a rusher, notching a season-high 70 yards on 9 attempts. He ripped off gains of 16, 13, and 12 yards.
Now, Williams still hasn’t accounted for a TD since Week 6. So the progress we saw today doesn't make him a trustworthy fantasy option. He’ll remain a QB2 for Sunday’s game vs. the Vikings.
