Eagles WR DeVonta Smith managed just 2 receptions for 14 yards on 3 targets in Sunday's win over the Cowboys. Even amid limited passing volume for the team overall, that marked just a 15% target share -- in a game that saw TE Dallas Goedert return.
We obviously can't judge Goedert's impact on Smith from just one game, though there has been some correlation between their target shares in the past.
The good news here is that Smith showed now signs of his hamstring issue limiting his role at Dallas.
Smith closed out the week with a full Friday practice and carried no game designation. Then he ran as many routes as A.J. Brown for the game.
The volume limitation will be an issue for Smith's fantasy production going forward and likely keep him a volatile contributor. That's a key reason he landed in the "sell" section of our Week 10 Trade Targets article.
