Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence is dealing with a left shoulder injury and continuing to get treatment. He has been labeled as day-to-day, but now is unlikely to play this Sunday while options are considered. There appear to be a wide range of outcomes for Lawrence and more missed games could be in his future. Mac Jones would be slated to start if Lawrence can't go.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network: "As JaguarQB Trevor Lawrence (left shoulder) continues to get treatment and weigh options for the future, sources say he’s considered unlikely to play Sunday vs the Vikings.
Lawrence was limited in practice yesterday & coach Doug Pederson was noncommittal about his status."
Lawrence hadn't been fantastic so far this season, but the Jaguars offense was able to produce with him under center. Moving on to failed Patriots QB Mac Jones doesn't inspire confidence in the fantasy offense as a whole.
The Vikings defense under DC Brian Flores thrives on attacking the QB with pressure, so expect Jones to face plenty of enclosed pockets during the game.
The entire Jaguars offense is downgraded if Lawrence is out including WR Brian Thomas Jr. and TE Evan Engram.
