Shortly after ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that Jaguars WR Brian Thomas Jr. might miss 2-4 weeks, ESPN Jaguars reporter Michael DiRocco updated (countered?) the report with better news. According to DiRocco, Thomas is hoping to get back onto the field this week.
DiRocco: "Just spoke with Jaguars WR Brian Thomas in locker room. He said MRI showed 'nothing. Everything was good.' Obviously sore but is hopeful he can get back on the practice field by end of the week."
We'll obviously have to watch how this week develops to know whether we'll have Thomas available for fantasy football lineups next Sunday against the Eagles. But the DiRocco report sure sounds more optimistic.
Even if Thomas doesn't wind up playing in Week 9, he should at least stand a good chance of playing Week 10 vs. Minnesota.
We'll keep updating along the way.
