Niners WR Brandon Aiyuk racked up 8 receptions for 147 yards in Sunday's loss to the Cardinals. He tied TE George Kittle for the team lead in catches and targets (12), while delivering 83 more yards than anyone else on the team.
Sunday marked the second time this season that Aiyuk drew 10+ targets in a game but the first time that he reached 50 yards.
There has been no issue with his role since Week 2, though. That continued against the Cardinals, with Aiyuk leading the team in pass routes.
He benefited from surprising target concentration. QB Brock Purdy sent 68.6% of his pass attempts toward either Aiyuk or Kittle.
Aiyuk obviously won't get such a strong target share often. But Sunday delivered a nice reminder of what's possible in any given week. That's why we included among our Week 5 Trade Targets.
Expect Aiyuk to rank among our top 24 WRs for matchups with the Seahawks, Chiefs, and Cowboys the next three weeks, ahead of a Week 9 bye.
