Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence threw for 371 yards and 2 TDs in Sunday's win over the Colts. He also tossed an INT but took no sacks and piloted the game-winning FG drive.
This outing followed Lawrence posting no more than 220 yards in any of the first four games. Three of those outings found him short of 180 passing yards. But it was also his second straight game with 2 TD passes, after Lawrence totaled two over the first three weeks.
The Indy matchup certainly didn't hurt. The Colts sat just 18th in pass-defense DVOA entering the week and were missing several key defenders -- including slot CB Kenny Moore and starting Edge Kwity Paye.
Lawrence gets a tougher matchup at Chicago in Week 6, which figures to keep him outside the top 12 in our QB rankings.
If he can deliver another good outing there, though, Lawrence might become a viable 1-QB option for home dates against the Patriots and Packers, and then a visit to Philadelphia.
