Chargers HC Jim Harbaugh said Wednesday that he expects QB Justin Herbert (ankle) to play vs. the Steelers this weekend. Herbert did not practice on Wednesday but is "getting better every day," Harbaugh said.
Harbaugh on Herbert: "Crystal ball? I expect him to [play] -- he's getting better every day. Last night, we had a meeting with him and he's feeling much better and good today."
We'll keep a close eye on Herbert over the next few days but are tentatively expecting him to start Sunday's game in Pittsburgh.
If he can't, the Chargers would turn to QB Easton Stick. That'd obviously be a huge downgrade for the entire offense.
