Bills QB Josh Allen looked in mid-season form in a Week 1 win over Arizona. Spreading the ball around to nine different pass catchers, Allen completed 18 of 23 passes for 232 yards. He added 2 TDs -- plus 2 more on the ground. We’ll just have to keep an eye on Allen’s health; he was spotted with his left wrist tapped following the game, according to multiple beat writers.
Here’s HC Sean McDermott commenting on Allen’s health.
"Always concern (for all injuries). I'll know more in next couple of hours."
We'll update Allen's status when we know more.
Allen wasn’t quite perfect in this one. Early on, he took a strip sack from his blindside deep in Arizona territory. But beyond that, he made sound decisions and navigated a new-look Buffalo WR corps.
Keon Coleman led the way in targets (5), catches (4) and yards (51). But this unit saw TDs scored by Khalil Shakir and Mack Hollins -- both in the 3rd quarter.
We’ll see if a true WR1 emerges for Buffalo. But as long as Allen’s legs remain active, he’ll stick as an elite QB1. Next week turns up a Thursday night matchup in Miami.
