Packers WR Jayden Reed obviously delivered for you in Week 1 if he made your lineup, racking up 138 yards and a TD on 4 receptions, plus a 33-yard TD run. But we already knew he could play after an impressive rookie season. The question was how much he'd play. Week 1 offered encouraging results on that front.
Reed played 72% of offensive snaps in Green Bay's loss to the Eagles. That trailed only Romeo Doubs among Packers wideouts, with Christian Watson trailing at 63% and Dontayvion Wicks at 46%.
He reached that snap share just twice in his rookie campaign and reached his Week 1 snap total (48) just three times.
We'll see whether this marks any increase in his playing time going forward or if Week 1 just happens to be one of this year's high games.
But Reed at least looks like the top fantasy play among Packers WRs until further notice.
Of course, all Green Bay pass-catchers became significantly worse plays for the next month when QB Jordan Love went down at the end of the loss to the Eagles.
The Packers now must turn to QB Malik Willis -- or some other yet-unsigned replacement -- for the next 3-6 weeks.
That might keep Reed and everyone else outside starter range in our weekly rankings.
Unfortunately, there's likely not much you can do but hold Reed through that portion of the season and see how the QB replacement plan works out.
