Saints RB Alvin Kamara left practice today with back tightness. The extent of the injury is uncertain at this time, but it is worth monitoring.
John DeShazier of NewOrleansSaints.com: "Alvin Kamara left Saints practice today with back tightness"
Kamara left practice with back tightness. He is entering his 29-year old season and dealt with multiple injuries last season.
Due to his age and history, this is worth monitoring. If the injury is significant, we will update here.
Kamara has pass-catching upside this season with the Saints, especially with their lack of RB depth on the roster. He remains a focal point of the offense and established a rapport with QB Derek Carr last season.
Outside of WR Chris Olave, Kamara remains the best offensive threat for the Saints.
He has not had a back injury in the past, but multiple knee injuries have put Kamara in the medical tent throughout his NFL and college career.
With RB Kendre Miller also hurt, the Saints can ill afford to lose another RB. Losing Kamara for any amount of time would trim the RB room down to Jamaal Williams, Jordan Mims, and James Robinson.
