Rams HC Sean McVay confirmed that WR Puka Nacua is week-to-week with his knee injury but isn't in danger of missing the start of the season. McVay added that Nacua has a bursa sac injury but no structural damage to the knee.
“Really just had a little bit of a bursa sac, kind of burst it, and it’s just gonna be week to week with him," McVay said of Nacua. "Nothing serious, nothing structurally. He’ll be in good shape and he’ll recover and we’ll be ready to go. No threat of anything for [Week 1]. ... We’ll take it week to week, but I don’t anticipate him being affected in terms of even that prep for the opener. … Fortunately, it’s not gonna affect his ability to be ready to roll for the season.”
We'll continue to keep a close eye on Nacua, but it doesn't sound like this injury is likely to be a factor this season.
We've seen Nacua slip into early or even middle of Round 2 in best-ball drafts over the past couple of days. He's a value worth scooping at that price tag.
We've slid Nacua behind Garrett Wilson and A.J. Brown in the WR rankings -- but those three remain closely bunched in the same tier.
Don't expect Nacua's ADP to fall any further than mid-Round 2. And it might rebound with this latest update from McVay. He really shouldn't be slipping beyond Pick 12.
