Seahawks QB Geno Smith missed practice Wednesday and Thursday. HC Mike Macdonald said afterward that Smith is "working through a couple things" and that he'll get imaging on knee and hip issues Thursday night.
Gregg Bell of the Tacoma News Tribune: "Doesn't sound like he will practice tomorrow either."
Bell on Wednesday: "[Smith] took an inadvertent hit [and] fell to the turf during scrimmaging in Tuesday's practice he finished."
Bell reported that Smith was getting the knee and hip "worked on" Wednesday.
The impact here will obviously depend on the results of the testing. It doesn't seem like Macdonald's overly concerned, but we'll see.
Any missed time for Smith would mean more work for Sam Howell. We saw last year that he's capable of putting up fantasy numbers when on the field. But he also played his way out of Washington after one starting season.
D.K. Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Noah Fant would likely suffer for the switch from Smith to Howell.
We won't be moving Smith unless the imaging returns something serious. He remains one of the best values at QB by best ball ADP.
