He’ll be a good addition and great complement to (Ezekiel Elliott). And then we’ll let these young guys between (Rico Dowdle and Malik Davis) and those guys battle it out.”

Dowdle has been a popular upside pick in the last few rounds of drafts along with Elliott. But, Jones' words may mean that the situation is more jumbled than we think.

If Freeman impresses in camp and makes the roster, he could be the back-up and compliment to Elliott. This means Freeman is another deep sleeper selection this year, despite him never quite sticking on another NFL team.

Dowdle still has an opportunity to go out and impress as we get into the preseason and deeper into training camp. Don't discount him quite yet, but it isn't a great sign for his potential to be a relevant fantasy player.

Especially if he may be on the bubble to make the team.
