The Athletic's Nick Kosmider chose WR Marvin Mims as the Broncos' breakout player this season. Kosmider notes that WR Jerry Jeudy's departure opens up opportunity for Mims, and that HC Sean Payton promised more work for Mims in his second season.
“I think we'll see a lot of growth from Year 1 to Year 2," HC Sean Payton said of Mims earlier this offseason.
Mims never found enough playing time to be a consistent fantasy factor as a rookie last year, reaching a 50% snap rate just twice.
He flashed big-play ability, though, with four of his 22 grabs going for 40+ yards. Mims' 11.4 yards per target ranked fifth among 112 qualifying WRs.
Remember that the Broncos traded up to select Mims with the 63rd overall pick of the 2023 NFL Draft. He was the first pick Denver made under Payton. That followed an impressive college career that saw Mims lead Oklahoma in receiving in each of his three years on campus. Mims left school with a huge 19.5 yards-per-catch average and then rocked a 4.38-second 40 time at the Combine.

Mims' ADP is sitting in Round 18. We regularly see him hang around until the very end of best-ball drafts on Underdog, FFPC, and DRAFTERS. He's an easy pick at that cost, but we'd be surprised if Mims remains this cheap throughout the summer if the buzz continues. That said, he'd be worth a pick even if his price climbs in the 12th or 13th round.
