Jaguars WR Zay Jones (knee, hamstring) won't play vs. the Panthers today, according to CBS' Aditi Kinkhabwala. That'll leave WRs Parker Washington, Jamal Agnew, and Tim Jones behind top dog Calvin Ridley. We're expecting a run-heavy game plan from Jacksonville today with QB C.J. Beathard at the helm.

The Jaguars have ruled QB Trevor Lawrence out for Sunday's game against the Panthers. It's not a shock, given that Lawrence's right shoulder injury has kept him out of practice all week. But it will be the first game Lawrence has missed in his three NFL seasons. C.J. Beathard will start against a Panthers defense that's been the fourth-worst matchup for QBs and WRs and second-worst for TE scoring, according to our adjusted fantasy points allowed. Carolina has been a positive matchup for RBs, though. Lawrence's absence can't hurt the opportunity count for Travis Etienne. Check our updated rankings to see where he and other Jaguars candidates land.
Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence (shoulder) missed practice again on Thursday. HC Doug Pederson was non-committal on Lawrence's availability for this weekend's game vs. the Panthers. “If Trevor plays, we’re all-in on that. If C.J. (Beathard) plays, we’re all in on that," Pederson said. "It’s a tough decision.” We'll see what Lawrence does on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report.

Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence said he won't do much at Wednesday's practice with his right shoulder "still sore but feeling better," according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Lawrence reportedly said he can't yet say whether he'll be ready to face the Panthers on Sunday. We'll keep track of the QB's progress throughout the week.
Update: Lawrence officially did not practice on Wednesday.
Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence has been diagnosed with a sprained right shoulder, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. "It’s not believed to be a major injury to his throwing shoulder, but it’s unclear how this affects his availability this week," Rapoport adds. Lawrence has yet to miss an NFL start through three years, including playing the week after a high-ankle sprain and a concussion this season. We'll track his status throughout this week, leading up to Sunday's game vs. the Panthers
