Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson has been diagnosed with a high-ankle sprain, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. A source tells Schefter that Stevenson is expected to miss "a few weeks." High-ankle sprains generally cost RBs 4+ games, so don't be surprised if Stevenson misses the rest of the season. He's droppable in most fantasy leagues without an IR spot. Stevenson's absence will leave Ezekiel Elliott as New England's clear lead back -- in a true test of whether pure volume can support a fantasy RB. New England has RBs Jamycal Hasty and Ty Montgomery behind Elliott on the active roster, with RB Kevin Harris on the practice squad.
Rapoport: Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) has 'good chance' to play vs. Raiders
Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) has a "good chance" to play today against the Raiders, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The Pats will still have Stevenson test the ankle pregame, but they did not elevate J.J. Taylor from the practice squad. That indicates confidence in Stevenson's outlook, with rookies Kevin Harris and Pierre Strong Jr. the only other healthy RBs on the active roster. We did add Stevenson to the Week 15 fantasy football rankings and will be watching for confirmation of his status.
Rhamondre Stevenson out, Harris limited Wednesday

We'll keep a close eye on this backfield over the next few days, leading up to Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. Kevin Harris and Pierre Strong are the healthy RBs on the active roster. RB J.J. Patriots RB Damien Harris (hamstring) was again listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice. New England called up RB Kevin Harris from the practice squad earlier today, which is a good sign that Damien Harris won't be available for this weekend's game vs. the Browns.
