Phillip Walker, QB SEA

7:22pm EDT 10/16/22

P.J. Walker knocked out with neck injury

Panthers QB P.J. Walker was knocked out of Sunday's loss to the Rams with a 4th-quarter neck injury. QB Jacob Eason mopped up, completing 3 of 5 passes for 59 yards and a pick. We'll see if Walker is available for Week 7 -- and if Carolina sticks with him. Walker mustered just 60 yards on 10-of-16 passing today. QBs Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold are unlikely to be ready for Week 7 with their ankle injuries.

Colts WR Carson Wentz (ankles) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. He hasn't yet been ruled out for this weekend's game vs. the Titans -- but he's looking like a long shot. The Colts are reportedly considering rotating QBs Jacob Eason and Brett Hundley if Wentz is out.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero hears that there's "still hope" that Colts QB Carson Wentz (ankle) will be able to play vs. the Titans this weekend. Pelissero adds that it might come down to a game-time decision. Practice-squad QB Brett Hundley reportedly took most of the 1st-team reps in Wednesday's practice and might split snaps with QB Jacob Eason on Sunday if Wentz is out, per Pelissero. It's obviously a situation to avoid in fantasy lineups.

Colts QB Carson Wentz is dealing with a high sprain to his right ankle and a low sprain to the left. The high-ankle sprain is a bigger concern, although Wentz still believes he has a chance to play vs. the Titans this weekend. “A lot of treatment," Wentz said Wednesday. "Throwing the kitchen sink at it trying to get healthy.” We'll track his progress over the next few days, but Wentz shouldn't be in your Week 3 fantasy plans. QB Jacob Eason will get the start if Wentz is out.

Colts QB Carson Wentz injured both of his ankles in Sunday's loss to the Rams, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Wentz is undergoing tests today to determine the severity of the injuries. We'll update his status when we know more. The entire Colts offense would need to be downgraded if they're forced to go with QB Jacob Eason.
