Dynasty Analysis

Gray took over some of Travis Kelce’s work, scoring five TDs in his last seven games. With rookie Jared Wiley ending up on IR, Gray took advantage. He could see even more work next year, his 26-year old season, and be a potential heir apparent to Kelce.

Noah Gray Player Comp

Garrett Graham, Wisconsin (2010)

While undersized, Gray brings adequate route-running and pass protection chops. Not a dynamic playmaker.

Travis Kelce Held to Two Catches

Travis Kelce Held to Two Catches

Chiefs TE Travis Kelce managed only 2 catches for 8 yards in Sunday’s loss to Buffalo. Kelce entered halftime without a reception.

The Chiefs lost WR Rashee Rice to a knee injury early in their Week 3 win over the Chargers. Since then, No. 2 TE Noah Gray has seen his route and target shares increase.

Chiefs HC Andy Reid told reporters Monday that WR JuJu Smith-Schuster will miss next Sunday's game against the Raiders with the injury to his right hamstring.

Underdog Fantasy's James Palmer reports that the Chiefs fear WR Rashee Rice tore his right ACL in the Week 4 win over the Chargers. Rice is scheduled for an MRI on Monday, but doctors can often accurately diagnose a torn ACL without scans. If confirmed, Rice's 2024 season would be over.

Charles Goldman of A to Z Sports says Chiefs rookie TE Jared Wiley is "already getting a lot of play with the starters" in team workouts -- including red-zone opportunities. Wiley's obviously not going to challenge TE Travis Kelce's standing anytime soon. But there's room for him to compete with Noah Gray for the No. 2 spot. Gray played 52.4% of K.C.'s offensive snaps last season, thanks in part to Kelce missing two games. Gray also finished sixth on the team in targets and fourth in receptions.
