Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Patriots RB Damien Harris (hamstring) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Browns. He was reportedly a game-time decision after a limited week of practice, so Harris should have a chance to return for Week 7. RB Rhamondre Stevenson should get a ton of touches for New England today. He’ll be backed up by rookies Pierre Strong and Kevin Harris.
The Patriots will determine whether RB Damien Harris (hamstring) is active for today's game against the Browns after he works out pregame. "Playing would be a surprise, but not impossible," according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Even if he's active, we'd be wary of using Harris in any fantasy football formats.
Patriots RB Damien Harris (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Browns after a limited week of practice. All signs point to Harris missing this game – including New England’s move to elevate RB Kevin Harris from the practice squad. We’ll get the Patriots’ inactives around 11:30 am ET on Sunday.
Bills TE Dawson Knox (foot, hamstring) was limited in practice all week but isn’t listed on the final injury report. He'll return for Sunday’s game vs. the Chiefs, although it’s still unclear how close to 100% he’ll be. Knox, of course, has been underwhelming so far this season, averaging just 4.3 targets and 3.0 catches across 4 games. But he does have TD upside in this weekend’s likely shootout.
Patriots RB Damien Harris (hamstring) was again listed as a limited participant in Thursday's practice. New England called up RB Kevin Harris from the practice squad earlier today, which is a good sign that Damien Harris won't be available for this weekend's game vs. the Browns.
Bills TE Dawson Knox (foot, hamstring) put in a limited practice on Wednesday. That gives him a shot to return for this weekend's game vs. the Chiefs, although he'd be a shaky fantasy play without a full practice on Thursday or Friday.
Patriots RB Damien Harris (hamstring) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. It's a surprise after NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said earlier this week that Harris is “likely to miss multiple games.” We still wouldn't plan on having him in Week 6 fantasy lineups, but we'll continue to keep tabs on his status leading up to Sunday's game vs. the Browns.
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero tweeted Tuesday that Pats RB Damien Harris (hamstring) is “likely to miss multiple games.” Rhamondre Stevenson stepped up with 27 touches last Sunday against Detroit and will remain busy in Week 6 at Cleveland. The Browns field one of the league’s worst run defenses.
Dyami Brown was the big producer among Commanders WRs in Sunday's loss to the Titans. He caught just 2 passes among 4 targets for the game, but both went for scores -- from 75 and 30 yards out. Brown ranked just 5th among Washington wideouts in playing time, though. Curtis Samuel led the group, and led the team in targets for the 5th straight game. He caught 6 of 8 looks for 62 yards. Terry McLaurin trailed Samuel and J.D. McKissic but posted a solid 5-76 receiving line on his 6 targets.
Browns WR Amari Cooper rebounded from a disappointing Week 4 to deliver a 7-76-1 receiving line among 12 targets in Sunday's loss to the Chargers. He ate up 35.3% of Cleveland targets for the game. WR Donovan Peoples-Jones ranked 2nd at 7 looks, catching 4 or 50 yards.
With Dawson Knox out, Quintin Morris worked as the starter and clear leader among Bills TEs in Sunday's win over the Steelers. He played 15 more snaps than #2 Tommy Sweeney and ran 17 more routes. Morris also claimed all 4 TE targets in the game. That's not a fantasy-relevant level of inclusion for most formats. We'll see whether Knox is ready to return for Week 6.
Bills QB Josh Allen racked up 424 passing yards and 4 TDs in Sunday's lopsided home win over the Steelers. He hit WR Gabriel Davis for TDs of 98 and 62 yards. Allen also connected with WR Stefon Diggs and rookie WR Khalil Shakir for scores. Diggs drew 35.5% of Allen's pass attempts for the game as the only Bills player to exceed 6 targets. A potential shootout at Kansas City awaits in Week 6, with Buffalo's bye on the other side.
Rams S Taylor Rapp (ribs) is active for today's game against the Cowboys.
Patriots RB Damien Harris suffered a hamstring injury in the 1st half of Sunday's game vs. the Lions and is officially questionable to return. Rhamondre Stevenson is the only other available RB for New England. We'll update Harris' status when we know more.
Update: Harris has been ruled out.
Rams S Taylor Rapp (ribs) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys. He opened the week with 2 limited practices but then sat out Friday. We'll check his status Sunday.
Commanders WR Curtis Samuel put in a full practice Friday and carries no injury designation into Sunday's game against the Titans. He missed the 1st 2 days with an illness but looks set to go in an upside matchup Samuel has led Washington in targets each game.
Bills TE Dawson Knox (foot, hamstring) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Steelers. He's been banged up all season, so the week off should be good for him. Knox's absence leaves Buffalo with TEs Quintin Morris and Tommy Sweeney. Morris is the better bet for targets but would be a desperation fantasy play.
Bills TE Dawson Knox (foot, hamstring) remained sidelined on Thursday. He appears to be in real danger of missing this weekend's game vs. the Steelers, but we'll get another update on his status tomorrow.
Commanders WRs Curtis Samuel (illness) and Jahan Dotson (hamstring) remained out of practice Thursday. Samuel still has time to rebound ahead of Sunday's game against the Titans. We wouldn't bet on Dotson being available, though.
Bills TE Dawson Knox (foot, hamstring) did not practice on Wednesday. He played through back and hip injuries last week but is now dealing with 2 different ailments. We'll see if Knox is able to practice tomorrow.
