Tampa Bay Buccaneers Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Cowboys DE Randy Gregory is questionable for Sunday's game against the Giants with a knee injury. HC Mike McCarthy expressed "no concern" about his availability, though, according to Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News.

Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds (shoulder) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the 49ers. He only got in a limited practice on Friday, and HC Kliff Kingsbury labeled Edmonds a game-time decision. It’s a 4:25 pm ET kickoff, but hopefully we get an update on Edmonds on Sunday morning. He’ll obviously carry elevated risk if he’s active. If not, RB James Conner will be a strong fantasy play.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard (hamstring) and Darius Slayton (hamstring) are out for Sunday's game vs. the Cowboys. Last week, Kadarius Toney replaced Shepard in the slot, with John Ross taking over Slayton's field-stretcher role. Toney is a viable Week 5 fantasy play after racking up a team-high 9 targets last week.

Bucs RB Gio Bernard (knee) is listed as questionable for this weekend's game vs. the Dolphins. He put in a full practice on Friday, though, so he figures to play. Bernard isn't a Week 5 fantasy option but will likely steal a few targets from RB Leonard Fournette.

The Buccaneers have ruled S Antoine Winfield out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins because of a concussion. With CBs Carlton Davis and Sean Murphy-Bunting already on IR, that means the Tampa Bay secondary will look quite different from its season-opening version. The Bucs will at least get CB Jamel Dean back from a knee injury that knocked him out early in Week 3 and kept him out last Sunday night. HC Bruce Arians also said EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul is ready to return from the shoulder injury that cost him the past 2 games, according to Greg Auman of The Athletic.

Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds (shoulder) missed his 2nd straight practice on Thursday. He returned to last week's game after hurting his shoulder and was working off to the side of Thursday's practice, according to Darren Urban of the team's official website. Edmonds still has a shot to play vs. the 49ers this weekend, but check back tomorrow for another update.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton remained sidelined on Thursday with their hamstring injuries. Both guys are likely to miss this weekend's game vs. the Cowboys. That keeps rookie WR Kadarius Toney in play as a Week 5 fantasy starter.

Browns QB Baker Mayfield has been playing through a partially torn labrum in his left shoulder, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Mayfield suffered the injury in Week 2's win over the Texans. Surgery isn't needed "as of now," per Rapoport, and Mayfield hasn't missed a practice snap. He has, however, been playing with a shoulder harness, which might explain why he hasn't been very good the last couple of weeks. It's a situation to keep a close eye on going forward.

Cardinals RB Chase Edmonds (shoulder) didn't practice on Wednesday. He appeared to injure a shoulder late in last week's win over the Rams but did return to that game. We're expecting Edmonds to be available for Sunday's game vs. the 49ers, but we'll see if he gets back on the practice field on Thursday.

Bucs RB Gio Bernard (knee) got in a limited practice on Wednesday. He has a shot to return for this weekend's game vs. Miami. Bernard would likely step back into a pass-catching role, putting a dent in RB Leonard Fournette's fantasy outlook.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton remained sidelined on Wednesday with their hamstring injuries. At this point, we should be assuming they won't play vs. the Cowboys this weekend. That'd make WR Kadarius Toney a viable Week 5 fantasy starter. The rookie turned 9 targets into a 6-78 line last week.

Bears DL Akiem Hicks left Sunday's win over the Lions with a groin injury. We'll see whether the issue will cost him further time.

Cowboys DE Randy Gregory (knee) is active for today's game against the Panthers. He's not a high-end IDP option but is available if he was in your plans.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton are out for Sunday's game vs. the Saints with their hamstring injuries. Kenny Golladay should operate as New York's clear #1 WR. We're expecting to see Kadarius Toney replace Shepard in the slot and Collin Johnson and C.J. Board to team up to replace Slayton. RB Saquon Barkley and TE Evan Engram should also play significant roles in the Giants' passing game.

Bucs RB Gio Bernard (knee) is out for Sunday night's game vs. the Patriots. Bernard leads Bucs RBs with 15 targets and has run a route on 31% of pass plays through 3 weeks. The majority of that work should go to RB Leonard Fournette this weekend. It's a sizable boost to Fournette's Week 4 fantasy value.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton remained sidelined on Thursday with their hamstring injuries. Both guys figure to miss this weekend's game vs. the Saints. Rookie Kadarius Toney figures to step in as New York's primary slot receiver, with Collin Johnson and C.J. Board filling in for Slayton.

Giants WRs Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton missed Wednesday's practice with their hamstring injuries. There's been no update on the severity of those injuries, but fantasy owners should be planning on them missing this weekend's game vs. the Saints. That'd leave Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, Collin Johnson and C.J. Board as New York's top 4 WRs.

Bucs RB Gio Bernard (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. His MCL sprain is supposedly minor, but consider him no better than 50/50 to play vs. the Patriots on Sunday night. Bernard's absence would be a boost to RB Leonard Fournette's fantasy stock.

Bucs RB Gio Bernard suffered a "slight" MCL sprain on his garbage-time TD in Sunday's loss to the Rams, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. Bernard is considered "day to day," but his status for this weekend's game vs. the Patriots is "TBD," per Pelissero. We'll keep an eye on Bernard's status this week. His absence would free up passing-down work -- likely for RB Leonard Fournette.

Giants WR Sterling Shepard hurt his hamstring in the 1st half of Sunday's game vs. Atlanta and was quickly ruled out. Shepard has been New York's lead receiver early this year. We'll see if his absence leads to additional playing time for rookie WR Kadarius Toney.
