Kevin Minter Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Buccaneers on Thursday placed LB Lavonte David on IR with his foot injury. That means he'll miss the rest of the regular season and can be dropped in IDP leagues (if you didn't do so already). Kevin Minter is in line for full-time snaps next to Devin White.

The Buccaneers expect LB Lavonte David to miss the rest of the regular season after suffering a foot sprain in Sunday night's loss to the Saints, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. The team is reportedly "hopeful" that David can make it back during the playoffs. Kevin Minter will step up to a full-time role in the meantime.

The Buccaneers have ruled LB Lavonte David (ankle) out for Sunday's game against the Bears. That will once again make Kevin Minter a starting-level player alongside Devin White. Tampa also ruled out CB Richard Sherman (hamstring), leaving the defense without a recent free-agent addition who stepped into the starting lineup after injuries forced each of the season-opening top 3 corners to miss time. With Carlton Davis and Sean Murphy-Bunting on IR, Jamel Dean, Ross Cockrell (slot) and Dee Delaney look like the top 3 at CB.

The Buccaneers have ruled LB Lavonte David (ankle) and S Antoine Winfield (concussion) out for Thursday night's game against the Eagles. That will allow S Mike Edwards to start in Winfield's place for the 2nd straight week and give LB Kevin Minter starting duty. EDGE Jason Pierre-Paul (shoulder) is questionable, though Wednesday's estimated injury report called him a "full" participant. JPP played through a questionable tag in Week 5 and got near his normal snap share in his return from a shoulder injury.

Buccaneers LB Lavonte David suffered a low-ankle sprain in Sunday's win over the Dolphins, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. That's better than the high-ankle sprain that the Bucs initially feared. It does mean he'll miss Thursday night's game at Philadelphia. Rapoport adds that David will be "week-to-week" beyond that. LB Kevin Minter filled in for David after he left Week 5 and figures to see full playing time while David is out.
