Miami Dolphins Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

49ers RB Raheem Mostert got the start in Sunday's preseason finale and played all 10 snaps on the 1st possession. RB Trey Sermon then played all 14 snaps on the 2nd possession. Those 2 will open the season sharing backfield work. The exact split between them remains uncertain.

49ers RB Raheem Mostert left Wednesday's practice with "apparent back pain," according to insider Cam Inman. "Mostert winced as he reached the sideline and was checked on by trainers, then watched most of the remaining plays from a knee," Inman adds. We'll see how serious of an issue this ends up being. Mostert, of course, has struggled staying healthy over the past 3 seasons -- although he's never had back trouble.

Patriots TE Jonnu Smith (ankle) was a full participant in Monday's practice, according to NESN's Zack Cox. Smith was sidelined for a week, but we can now cross him off the list of injured played to worry about.

Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill participated in Monday's practice. He was a late scratch from Friday night's preseason game with a tight hamstring, but it looks like a non-issue now.

Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill was held out of Friday night's preseason game after his hamstring "tightened up" in warmups, HC Andy Reid said. This doesn't sound serious -- but hamstrings are notoriously tricky. We'll keep a close eye on this 1st-round fantasy pick.

Patriots TE Jonnu Smith sprained his left ankle in Sunday’s practice. ESPN’s Mike Reiss reports that it’s a low-ankle sprain. “No firm timetable on his return, but based on the initial diagnosis, it isn’t considered a serious injury,” Reiss says. We’ll see how long Smith sits. Hunter Henry, of course, is already out with a shoulder injury. So New England suddenly looks thin — for the moment — at TE. That means opportunity for a WR corps without much separation so far.

According to Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald, Patriots TE Jonnu Smith is “on the short list of top-performing Patriots through 10 days of training camp.” Smith has bought into a versatile role with the Pats. “I’m just excited to be able to use my ability to its fullest potential. Even touch some areas where maybe I do some things I’ve never done before,” he said. "Kind of scratch the surface here and see what lies beneath.” Smith’s ability to play multiple spots makes the addition of Hunter Henry less worrisome. The former Titan is currently being drafted at a very fair TE15 in FFPC best balls.

Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill (knee) returned to practice on Thursday. He missed the previous 2 practices with what HC Andy Reid described as knee tendinitis. It never sounded like something to worry about. Hill remains our top-ranked WR.

Chiefs WR Tyreek Hill is dealing with knee tendinitis, HC Andy Reid said. Hill was held out of Tuesday's practice. This tends to be more of a discomfort thing than a real injury. We'll keep an eye on it, but consider Hill's fantasy stock unaffected for now.

49ers RB Jeff Wilson (calf) is expected to play against the Patriots today, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. He'll join Jerick McKinnon and JaMycal Hasty in San Francisco's backfield. Wilson isn't a bankable fantasy play but could handle goal-line work for the 'Niners today.
