Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) is active for tonight’s game against San Francisco. The veteran has snagged 10+ passes in 3 of 4 games this season.
Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (foot) was not activated from IR for tonight's game vs. the 49ers, as The Score's Jordan Schultz reported would be the case yesterday. Brown is reportedly aiming for a Week 12 return after getting back on the practice field this past week.
There's "some confidence" that Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) will play vs. the 49ers tonight, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It sounds like Hopkins is likely to play, although it's not quite a lock. We'll get Arizona's inactives around 7 pm ET tonight.
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco racked up 107 yards on 15 carries in Sunday night's win over the Chargers. It marked the rookie's 2nd straight game with at least 15 carries and 80+ yards. Clyde Edwards-Helaire appeared headed for a larger role than in Week 10 before an ankle injury sidelined him. RB Jerick McKinnon led the backfield in snaps but saw most of that work in the passing game. Pacheco and the Chiefs get worse rushing matchups over the next 3 games. An enticing date with the Texans awaits in Week 15, though.
Teammate injuries presented opportunity for Chiefs rookie WR Skyy Moore in Sunday night's win over the Chargers. he finished 2nd on the team in targets (6) and receptions (5), trailing only TE Travis Kelce. Moore's 63 yards ranked 3rd on the team. Moore still finished just 3rd among K.C. wideouts in routes and 6th among all Chiefs. We'll see about the injury situations for JuJu Smith-Schuster and Kadarius Toney heading into Week 12. Mecole Hardman is out at least 3 more games on IR.
Chiefs TE Travis Kelce scored all 3 of his team's TDs in Sunday night's win over the Chargers. He led the way in targets (10), receptions (6) and receiving yards (115), accounting for 35% of Kansas City's passing yardage. It was Kelce's 4th 100-yard game of the season and 2nd with multiple scores. He leads all TEs by more than 6 PPR points per game for the year.
Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes overcame a slow-ish start for his team to throw for 329 yards and 3 TDs in Sunday night's win over the Chargers. He found TE Travis Kelce for all 3 scores and 35% of his yardage. K.C. entered the game without JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman, and then lost Kadarius Toney to a hamstring injury. That left Skyy Moore and Justin Watson as the most productive wideouts, at 63 and 67 yards, respectively. It was Mahomes' 6th game this season of 3+ TDs and his 5th straight with more than 300 passing yards.
Bengals #2 RB Samaje Perine claimed 3 of QB Joe Burrow's 4 TD passes in Sunday's win over the Steelers. The 1st came before Joe Mixon left with a concussion, but the other 2 followed his 2nd-quarter departure. Perine caught 4 passes for 52 yards in all. He also led an inefficient run game, carrying 11 times or 30 yards (2.7 per rush). Mixon also averaged just 2.9 yards per carry on his 7 attempts before leaving. Mixon's injury gives Perine a pretty good chance at starting Week 12. Unfortunately for him, that will come against the league's top run defense (Titans).
Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire is out for the rest of Sunday night's game vs. the Chargers after suffering a 1st-half ankle injury. That leaves Kansas City's backfield to Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon.
Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire left in the 1st quarter of Sunday night's game against the Chargers with a right-ankle injury. He's officially questionable to return.
The Score's Jordan Schultz reports that Cardinals WR Marquise Brown (foot) won't play vs. the 49ers on Monday night. Brown returned to practice this week after chipping a bone in his foot in Week 6. He's "feeling much better" and is hoping to return for Week 12, per Schultz. But Brown should be on fantasy benches for Week 11.
Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Monday night's game vs. the 49ers. He put in limited practices on Friday and Saturday after sitting out Thursday for what HC Kliff Kingsbury called "maintenance." We're expecting Hopkins to play, but the late kickoff adds risk for fantasy owners. We'll see if we get an update on Hopkins on Sunday morning.
Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Friday. HC Kliff Kingsbury said Hopkins sitting out on Thursday was a “maintenance deal." It sounds like he'll be available for Monday night's game vs. the 49ers, but check back tomorrow for another update on Hopkins.
Chiefs WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) is out for Sunday night's game vs. the Chargers. No surprise after he sustained his 4th documented concussion last week. We'll see if Smith-Schuster can get cleared for Week 12. With WR Mecole Hardman (abdomen, illness) on IR, Kansas City is down to WRs Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Kadarius Toney, Justin Watson and Skyy Moore. See where they sit in the Week 11 WR Rankings.
Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins missed Thursday's practice with a hamstring issue. We don't have any other details, but his status for Monday night's game vs. the 49ers obviously bears monitoring over the next few days. We'll get another update on Hopkins tomorrow.
Chiefs WR JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion) remained sidelined on Thursday. He has very little chance to be cleared in time for Sunday night's game vs. the Chargers. Smith-Schuster should be on fantasy benches.
The Chiefs placed WR Mecole Hardman (abdomen) on IR. We still don't have any details on his injury, but he's out at least the next 4 games. Hardman is droppable in most fantasy leagues. His absence opens up opportunity for WR Kadarius Toney -- although it's worth noting that WR Justin Watson ran more routes than Toney last week. Toney should be owned in all fantasy leagues at this point, but Watson is also worth stashing in deeper setups.
Chiefs WRs JuJu Smith-Schuster (concussion), Marquez Valdes-Scantling (illness) and Mecole Hardman (abdomen, illness) missed Wednesday's practice. Valdes-Scantling should be fine for Sunday night's game vs. the Chargers, but Smith-Schuster and Hardman are iffy. Their absences would likely mean a significant role for WR Kadarius Toney.
The Cardinals have designated WR Marquise Brown (foot) to return from IR. That opens a 3-week window for him to return to practice and the team to decide whether to put him back on the active roster. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport adds, however, that Brown "could play" this Monday night against the 49ers. He's worth grabbing off waivers this week where available either way but would be tough to throw into fantasy football lineups right away. We'll keep an eye on Brown's status heading into the weekend.
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco handled 16 of 17 team RB carries in Sunday’s win over Jacksonville. He looked spry with 3.69 YAC per attempt, per Pro Football Focus. Shockingly, backfield mate Clyde Edwards-Helaire mixed in for only 4 snaps. Jerick McKinnon handled 23 snaps and out-targeted Pacheco 8-0. The rookie is still inching closer to RB2 range given the strength of Kansas City’s offense. Week 11 turns up a matchup with a Chargers D-line that’s been destroyed by injuries.
