Will Levis Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Titans QB Ryan Tannehill will start Sunday's finale vs. the Jaguars, HC Mike Vrabel said. Rookie Will Levis (foot) will be the No. 3 QB for the game. Tannehill has some DFS tournament appeal against a pass-funnel Jacksonville defense that ranks 27th in adjusted fantasy points allowed to QBs.

Titans QB Will Levis (foot) did not practice on Wednesday. He admitted that he's still dealing with soreness in that foot and seems unlikely to play in Sunday's meaningless finale vs. the Jaguars. We're projecting QB Ryan Tannehill to start that one.

Titans QB Will Levis suffered a foot injury in the second quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Texans and is officially questionable to return. We'll update his status when we know more. QB Ryan Tannehill has replaced Levis.

Update: Levis has been ruled out.

Titans QB Will Levis (ankle) put in a full week of practice and isn’t listed on the final injury report. He’ll be back under center for Sunday’s game vs. the Texans but is only in play in 2-QB and Superflex leagues.

Titans QB Will Levis (ankle) was a full-go in Wednesday's practice. That should have him on track to return for this weekend's game vs. the Texans. Levis has finished better than QB15 in only one of his eight starts. He's only in play in 2-QB and Superflex leagues.

Titans QB Will Levis (ankle) is inactive for today’s game vs. the Seahawks. He got back on the practice field on Friday and seemingly has a good chance to return for Week 17. QB Ryan Tannehill starts today for the first time since Week 6.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport confirms that Titans QB Will Levis (ankle) is not expected to play vs. the Seahawks today. "He pushed to be on the field, practicing on Friday. But couldn't quite get there," Rapoport tweets. It sounds like Levis has a chance to be back for Week 17. QB Ryan Tannehill makes his first start since Week 6 today. He sports a better completion rate than Levis but a slightly lower yards per attempt. We're considering the switch from Levis to Tannehill a wash for Tennessee's offense.

Titans QB Will Levis (ankle) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Seahawks. He only got in a limited practice on Friday. We’re expecting Levis to miss this one, leaving QB Ryan Tannehill to get the start. But we’ll continue to keep you updated on the situation leading up to Sunday’s 1 pm ET kickoff.

Titans QB Will Levis (ankle) did not practice on Wednesday. We're not expecting him to play vs. the Seahawks this weekend, which would presumably put QB Ryan Tannehill back at the controls for Tennessee. We're treating that as a wash for WR DeAndre Hopkins and the Titans' other pass-catchers.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that Titans QB Will Levis suffered a high left ankle sprain in Sunday's loss to the Texans. "Still uncertain whether Tennessee needs to sit him or for how long," Fowler says. We'll watch Levis' status this week, but we'd be leaning away from using him if possible anyway. If Levis can't play, Ryan Tannehill should get the start. That shouldn't be a downgrade for other Titans offensive pieces.

Titans QB Will Levis suffered a left leg injury in overtime of Sunday's game vs. the Texans. The replay was gruesome enough that the TV broadcast decided not to show it, although Levis was able to walk off the field. We'll update his status when we know more. QB Ryan Tannehill is Tennessee's backup today.

Titans WR Treylon Burks (concussion) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Colts. He put in full practices on Thursday and Friday and should play for the first time since Week 9. Burks’ return is a boost for QB Will Levis, but Burks himself is not a viable fantasy play in his first game back.

The Titans’ offense was kept in check by the Jaguars in Week 11. QB Will Levis completed 13 of 17 passes for 158 yards with 2 TDs in the contest. The rookie played efficiently, but the Titans only posted a 23:34 time of possession, their second-lowest in 2023. RBs Derrick Henry and Tyjae Spears also suffered as a result, tallying a combined 52 rushing yards on 14 carries between them. Fortunately, there should be brighter days ahead of all. The Titans’ remaining schedule ranks seventh-best for QB matchups and fourth-best for RBs per our adjusted fantasy points allowed. It’ll be worth keeping an eye on Levis’ development and continuing to trust Henry as a high-end RB2 in the coming weeks.

Titans QB Will Levis threw for just 199 yards on 19-of-39 passing in Sunday's loss to the Buccaneers. That included 0 TDs, 1 INT and 4 sacks. WR Kyle Philips was the only Titan to exceed 42 receiving yards, catching three passes for 61 yards among 5 targets. WR DeAndre Hopkins led the team with 8 targets but tallied just 3 receptions for 27 yards. This was the same Tampa Bay defense -- actually, without top CB Carlton Davis (toe injury) -- that allowed Texans QB C.J. Stroud 470 yards and 5 TDs the week before. It was the kind of performance that should tell you how risky Levis will be going forward. No remaining matchup on Tennessee's schedule has been as positive for QB scoring as the Bucs have.

Titans HC Mike Vrabel has announced that QB Will Levis will start the rest of the season. "Going forward, Will is going to be our quarterback," he said Tuesday. "We think that's the best opportunity for our football team right now, and see where he's at." The move makes sense, of course, Tennessee sits just 3-5 and needs to know what it has in Levis before the 2024 draft. Fantasy wise, it's also too early to know what we have. Levis opened with a QB6 finish in Week 8 against a soft Atlanta D. then he went QB20 in a tougher spot against Pittsburgh. Over the past two weeks, Levis ranks 24th in Pro Football Focus passing grade among 37 QBs with at least 20 dropbacks. He also carries the 10th-highest percentage of turnover-worthy throws. Combine that with a thin crew of Tennesssee pass catchers and it's tough to like Levis in 1-QB leagues at the 10- or 12-team level. He carries some upside in deeper formats, however, and can be intriguing for multi-QB formats. A Week 10 matchup with the Bucs -- who just allowed C.J. Stroud to break the rookie record for passing yards is intriguing. Levis will also get the league's third-best QB schedule from Week 13 on, according to our adjusted fantasy points allowed.

After tossing four TDs in his debut last week, Titans QB Will Levis finished without a score in Thursday night's loss to the Steelers. He went 22 of 39 (56.4%) for 262 yards (6.7 YPA) and a game-ending INT in the end zone with just a few seconds left. Levis' A+ arm talent was on display throughout the night. But it's tough for the rookie in a run-leaning offense behind a bad offensive line with a thin pass-catching corps. Dynasty owners should be encouraged by how Levis has played these last two games. But we don't expect him to ascend beyond QB2 status the rest of this season.

On Wednesday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that the Titans have officially ruled out QB Ryan Tannehill (ankle) for Week 9 vs. the Steelers. Rookie QB Will Levis will get the start. We'd already expected Levis to see the field on Thursday night, so this news doesn't really come as much of a shock. The former Kentucky signal-caller performed well in his NFL debut in Week 8, tossing 238 passing yards and 4 TDs against the Falcons. He'll be hard-pressed to repeat that showing against a much tougher Steelers defense. See where Levis slots in our latest QB rankings.

The Titans are expected to start QB Will Levis on Thursday night against the Steelers, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler. QB Ryan Tannehill reportedly needs more time to work past his high-ankle sprain. And Levis, of course, just finished throwing 4 TD passes in his NFL debut. So this report comes as no surprise. Check back Tuesday afternoon to see where Levis lands in our Week 9 QB rankings.
