Tyron Johnson Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Texans WR Brandin Cooks is officially inactive for tonight's game vs. the Eagles. Try to avoid Houston's passing game if you can help it. But if you're playing 1-game DFS contests, the Texans' WRs tonight are Phillip Dorsett, Chris Moore, Tyron Johnson and Jalen Camp. Woof.

Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow (concussion) is out for Sunday’s game vs. the Titans. We’ll see if he can get cleared for Week 4. Renfrow’s absence will leave Tyron Johnson and Keelan Cole as Vegas’ #3 and #4 WRs behind Davante Adams and Mack Hollins. Adams and TE Darren Waller should dominate Raiders targets this weekend.

Raiders WR Hunter Renfrow (concussion) remained sidelined on Thursday. He's now looking like a long shot to play vs. the Titans this weekend. We'll see how Vegas replaces Renfrow's slot snaps. WRs Tyron Johnson and Keelan Cole are behind primary outside WRs Davante Adams and Mack Hollins.

The Raiders released WR Keelan Cole. They're rolling with WRs Mack Hollins, Tyron Johnson and D.J. Turner behind Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow.

The Raiders released WR Demarcus Robinson. It's a slightly surprising move because Robinson was Vegas' most accomplished WR behind Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow. But, per The Athletic's Vic Tafur, Mack Hollins and Keelan Cole have emerged as the team's #3 and #4 WRs. "Tyron Johnson’s speed has put him in the mix as well," Tafur adds. None of these guys will be 2022 fantasy factors without an injury to Adams or Renfrow.

The Chargers have waived WR Tyron Johnson. The speedster posted a 20-398-3 receiving line for last season's Chargers, 2 years after his final campaign at Oklahoma State. His departure appears to solidify rookie WR Josh Palmer in the #3 role. Jalen Guyton remains on hand for now as well.

The Athletic's Daniel Popper believes rookie Josh Palmer has a "stranglehold" on the Chargers' #3 WR job. "The Chargers found a smart and savvy pro-ready player in Palmer," Popper writes. "Jalen Guyton and Tyron Johnson provide more speed than Palmer. But I expect Palmer to see more playing time based on his production this summer." The 3rd-round rookie had a nice debut in the preseason opener, catching 6 balls for 36 yards on just 17 snaps. We'll continue to monitor this situation, but Palmer is worth a look at the tail end of fantasy drafts.
