Ronald Darby Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

The Ravens have ruled CB Marlon Humphrey (calf) out for Saturday's game against the Steelers. They list S Kyle Hamilton (knee), CB Brandon Stephens (ankle), and CB Ronald Darby (illness) as questionable. We've had Humphrey, Hamilton, and Stephens out of the DB rankings all week. Even if Hamilton and/or Stephens plays, there's little reason for Baltimore to keep either starter on the field for usual full-time duty. Darby remains in there because he's a fill-in level DB. If he's active, he'll be OK to use in deeper IDP leagues.

Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey had surgery Wednesday for a nagging issue. "It's been a lingering thing and they took a look at it and said ... 'That's something we want to take care of now instead of waiting,'" HC John Harbaugh said Wednesday, according to the team website. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the team hopes Humphrey will return "in a little over a month." He adds that Humphrey will likely miss the "first couple games." We'll watch for more on Humphrey's expected return as it draws closer. But one of our highest-projected CBs is falling down the IDP rankings. Baltimore is signing CB Ronald Darby to a one-year deal to help a banged-up secondary. Starting CB Rock Ya-Sin is dealing with a knee issue but expected back soon. A couple of reserve corners are also expected back soon from minor issues.

Broncos CB Ronald Darby tore his right ACL in Thursday night's loss to the Colts. That obviously ends his season. We'll see whether it also marks the end of his time in Denver. Darby has 1 year remaining on his contract, but that year carries a $13 million cap hit vs. just $3 million in dead cap space if the team cuts him.

Broncos CB Ronald Darby (shoulder) and LB Kenny Young (concussion) are inactive for today's game against the Chargers. With Baron Browning out on the COVID list, LB Jonas Griffith looks like an upside play vs. the Chargers. DE Dre'Mont Jones (foot), S Kareem Jackson (back, shoulder) and DE Shelby Harris (ankle) are active.

Broncos S Kareem Jackson (back, shoulder), DE Dre'Mont Jones (foot), LB Kenny Young (concussion), DE Shelby Harris (ankle) and CB Ronald Darby (shoulder) are all questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers.

Broncos CB Patrick Surtain II is active for today's game against the Steelers. CB Ronald Darby -- who came off IR Saturday -- is inactive.

The Broncos activated CB Ronald Darby from IR Saturday, making him eligible to play Sunday at Pittsburgh. The team said earlier in the week that if Darby returned, he would play limited Week 5 snaps. Expect that role to grow beyond Sunday’s game, though
