Josiah Deguara Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Packers HC Matt LaFleur said Tuesday that TE Luke Musgrave has a "significant" abdomen injury. LaFleur didn't give any other details but did say that Musgrave is currently in the hospital. He won't play vs. the Lions on Thanksgiving, and it sounds like Musgrave could miss time beyond that. We'll keep you updated on his status. Musgrave's absence on Thursday will leave Green Bay with TEs Tucker Kraft, Ben Sims, and Josiah Deguara. Kraft had already seen an expanded role the past two weeks and should lead the group in pass routes vs. Detroit. He'd be a desperation season-long play but is an intriguing flier on the Thanksgiving DFS slate. Kraft is a third-round rookie with a 96th-percentile Relative Athletic Score.

Packers TE Luke Musgrave sustained a concussion in the first half of Thursday night's game vs. the Lions and will not return. He at least has a few extra days to clear protocol before Week 5's meeting with the Raiders. Musgrave's absence leaves Green Bay with TEs Tucker Kraft and Josiah Deguara.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers completed just 53.5% of his passes and tossed 3 INTs (2 in the red zone) in Sunday's loss at Detroit. He wound up compiling 291 yards on 23-of-43 passing, with 1 TD -- adding 40 rushing yards to salvage a decent fantasy day. But Rodgers struggled in what should have been an easy matchup. That bodes ill for a Week 10 clash with Dallas, which sports a much tougher pass D. WR Allen Lazard drew 10 targets, catching 4 for 87 yards and a TD. No other Packer drew more than 5 looks. TE Josiah Deguara led the team in receptions, catching all 5 of his looks for 41 yards. TE Robert Tonyan caught 3 balls for 29 yards among 4 targets. No other Packer caught more than 2 passes.

Tyler Davis led the Packers in "true" 1st-team TE reps in Friday's Family Night practice, according to SB Nation's Justin Mosqueda. Josiah Deguara got more total playing time (15 snaps to Davis' 13) but spent a significant chunk of that in RB positions. Davis, meanwhile, spent more combined time inline or in the slot than Marcedes Lewis and others. Robert Tonyan projects as the lead receiver at the position but is still on PUP as he works back from his ACL tear. Keep Davis on your radar, though, in case Tonyan's return is delayed into the regular season (or if you're playing preseason DFS).

Packers TE Robert Tonyan tore his left ACL in Thursday night's win over the Cardinals, his agent announced Friday. Tonyan will miss the rest of the season but has a good shot to be ready for the start of the 2022 campaign. His absence leaves the Packers with TEs Marcedes Lewis and Josiah Deguara. We'll monitor that situation, but neither guy is worth adding to fantasy rosters right now.
