Jordan Howard Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders is questionable to return to today's game against the Giants with a hand injury. We'll watch for updates on his situation.

Update: Sanders has been ruled out for the game.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders (quad) remained sidelined for Thursday's practice. It's possible that Philly is just being cautious coming off Tuesday's night's win over Washington, but Sanders' status for Sunday's game vs. the Giants is at least in some doubt. His absence would leave Jordan Howard as the Eagles' likely lead back, with Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell behind him.

Eagles HC Nick Sirianni said Friday that RB Miles Sanders (ankle) and Jordan Howard (knee) will play vs. Washington. Both guys put in full practices on Friday, but we don’t have Philly’s final injury report yet because this game got moved to Tuesday. Sanders, Howard and Boston Scott all figure to be involved against The Football Team.

Eagles RBs Miles Sanders (ankle) and Jordan Howard (knee) were limited in Wednesday's practice. Both guys appear on track to play vs. Washington this weekend. It'll likely be a 3-man committee backfield with Sanders, Howard and Boston Scott.

Eagles RB Jordan Howard (knee) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Jets. RB Boston Scott (illness) is listed as questionable after missing practice all week. Players rarely miss games with non-COVID illnesses, so we're expecting Scott to be active. But you'll need to check back around 11:30 am ET on Sunday to make sure. RB Miles Sanders (ankle) isn't listed on the final injury report and should lead the backfield vs. the Jets' 32nd-ranked RB defense.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders (ankle) was upgraded to full participation in Thursday's practice. He's on track to play vs. the Jets this weekend. RBs Boston Scott (illness) and Jordan Howard (knee) have yet to practice this week. Howard will likely miss Sunday's game. We're still expecting Scott to play, but Sanders will be the best fantasy bet in the backfield.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders (ankle) was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday's walkthrough. The fact that he was out there at all bodes well for his chances of playing vs. the Jets this weekend. RB Jordan Howard (knee) remained sidelined on Wednesday, so he's trending toward missing Sunday's game.

Eagles RB Jordan Howard (knee) is out for Sunday’s game against the Giants. He reportedly has a shot to be back for Week 13. Howard’s absence this weekend will leave Miles Sanders and Boston Scott as Philly’s primary ball-carriers vs. the league’s 27th-ranked RB defense.

Eagles RB Jordan Howard will "likely" miss Sunday's game vs. the Giants with a sprained knee, HC Nick Sirianni said Monday. Sirianni added that Howard has a good chance to return for Week 13. Howard was basically splitting carries with RB Miles Sanders before exiting yesterday's game, so his absence is a boost for Sanders. Of course, RB Boston Scott will remain involved. And we'll likely see RB Kenneth Gainwell activated for Week 12 after he was a healthy scratch last week.

Eagles RB Jordan Howard injured his knee in the 3rd quarter of Sunday's win over the Saints and did not return. We'll look for an update on the injury.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders (ankle) is active for today’s game vs. the Saints. It’ll be his 1st action since Week 7. RB Kenneth Gainwell is a healthy scratch for Philly, leaving Jordan Howard and Boston Scott alongside Sanders in the backfield. We’re expecting all 3 guys to be involved today. Sanders should lead the committee but is just a RB3 or flex play vs. New Orleans’ top-ranked RB defense.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders (ankle) is set to be activated from IR and return for Sunday's game vs. New Orleans, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Sanders has been out since Week 7. We'll see which of Philly's other RBs -- Jordan Howard, Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell -- are active tomorrow. HC Nick Sirianni said earlier this week that Sanders remains his starter but that other guys will mix in depending on packages and game situations. Sanders is the best Week 11 fantasy bet in the Eagles backfield, but he's just a RB3 or flex vs. the Saints' top-ranked RB defense.

Eagles RB Miles Sanders (ankle) has been designated to return from IR and will practice on Wednesday. Insider Eliot Shorr-Parks believes there's a "good chance" that Sanders returns for this weekend's game vs. the Saints. We'll see exactly how backfield work is divvied between Sanders, Jordan Howard, Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell. It's a situation to try to avoid in Week 11 against the league's top-ranked RB defense.

Eagles RB Jordan Howard was promoted from the practice squad to the active roster on Saturday and is expected to play vs. the Lions today. Howard reportedly got some 1st-team work in practice this week and figures to mix in on early downs and potentially short-yardage situations. Howard isn't a fantasy option but could be a drain on RBs Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott.

The Eagles have promoted RB Jordan Howard from practice squad. He'll be in the 3-man backfield mix for Sunday's game at Detroit. We're not betting on a big fantasy contribution from Howard, but Philly figures to continue spreading touches among multiple players. The team also officially placed RB Miles Sanders (ankle) on IR Saturday.

Eagles HC Nick Sirianni labeled RB Miles Sanders "week to week" with his ankle injury. Sirianni wouldn't rule Sanders out for Sunday's game vs. the Lions but admitted that he's unlikely to be available for that one. Sanders' absence would leave Philly with RBs Kenneth Gainwell, Boston Scott and potentially Jordan Howard, who's currently on the practice squad.
