Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.
Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon (groin) did not practice on Wednesday. RB Isiah Pacheco moved into an every-down role with McKinnon out last week, producing 89 total yards and two scores. He's a locked-in RB1 if McKinnon remains out for Sunday night's game vs. the Packers.
Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon (groin) is out for Sunday's game vs. the Raiders. McKinnon has played on most obvious passing downs throughout the season, averaging 2.6 targets per game. We'll see whether RB Isiah Pacheco or RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire picks up that work with McKinnon out this weekend. His absence certainly doesn't hurt Pacheco's fantasy outlook.
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco handled 16 of 18 team rush attempts for 66 scoreless yards in Week 9. The Chiefs’ offense struggled in this one. They ran only 56 plays at 4.8 yards per pop, as no Chiefs RB saw a goal line attempt. Still, Pacheco enters a Week 10 bye with 13+ carries in six of his past seven outings. The Eagles await on the other side. But after that tough matchup, Pacheco’s schedule looks ultra-favorable.
Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) will not travel with the team to Germany and is out for Sunday's game vs. the Dolphins. CEH has averaged only 2.2 carries and 0.6 targets over the last five games, so his absence leaves just a few touches behind for RBs Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon.
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco rushed only 8 times for 40 yards in Sunday’s blowout loss to Denver. Game flow certainly stung in this one. The Chiefs also struggled in key situations, going 4 for 13 combined on 3rd and 4th downs. They failed to convert any of their three red zone trips into TDs. A healthier Patrick Mahomes (flu) figures to emerge for Week 9. That’ll keep Pacheco in the top-15 mix next week against a beatable Miami run D.
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco ran for just 32 yards on 13 carries (2.5 per rush) in Sunday's win over the Chargers. But he scored on a catch from 8 yards out late in the fourth quarter to save his fantasy line. Pacheco totaled 4 receptions for 28 yards on 4 targets, ranking third on the team in catches. His 13 carries marked his lowest point since Week 2, despite Kansas City leading throughout the second half. But Pacheco still got 76.5% of Chiefs RB carries for the game. K.C. just happened to lean pass more than in recent contests. Pacheco gets the league-best RB scoring matchup in the Broncos next and then another positive spot against the Dolphins before the Week 10 bye.
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco pounded the rock effectively in primetime, racking up 115 yards on 20 carries to go along with a TD vs. the Jets. He also snagged all 3 targets for 43 receiving yards as a pass-catcher in Week 4. Teammates Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon combined for 6 carries and 2 targets in the contest. Pacheco’s 24.5 PPR points land as the highest fantasy total in his career to date. Managers will hope for a continued streak of dominance in Week 5 vs. the Vikings.
Chiefs RB Jerick McKinnon found the end zone twice in Week 3 with 3 catches for 19 yards as a receiver. Fellow RBs Isiah Pacheco and Clyde Edwards-Helaire also had success in the blowout victory vs. the Bears, recording 15 carries apiece for a combined 117 rushing yards. Both Pacheco and Edwards-Helaire had 1 rushing TD as well. This game was a total demolition, and it’s unlikely we’ll see this many points from all three Chiefs’ backs moving forward. We’ll look forward to starting Pacheco again in Week 4 vs. the Jets.
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (hamstring) is active for today’s game vs. the Bears. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday – and then reportedly looked and felt good enough in a Saturday workout to play today. This is a plus matchup against a bad Bears defense, but the hamstring adds risk to Pacheco’s fantasy profile. See where he lands in the Week 3 RB Rankings.
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (hamstring) is expected to play vs. the Bears on Sunday, per insider Jordan Schultz. "The team will re-evaluate in the morning just to be sure, but I’m told Pacheco had a good workout Saturday morning," Schultz tweets. Pacheco gets a pristine matchup as a big home favorite against a bad Chicago defense. But he missed a lot of time this offseason after a pair of surgeries and is now dealing with this hamstring, so it's tough to imagine Pacheco handling a huge workload tomorrow. See where he sits in the Week 3 RB Rankings.
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (hamstring) is listed as questionable for this weekend’s game vs. the Bears. He got in limited practices on Thursday and Friday. We’ll look for further updates on Pacheco’s status, but we won’t get Kansas City’s inactives until a little before 3 pm ET on Sunday. He’ll be a risk/reward RB2 play in this plus matchup if he ends up giving it a go.
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco (hamstring) returned to a limited practice on Thursday. We'll see what he does on Friday and how he's listed on the final injury report. If healthy, Pacheco is in a great spot this weekend with the Chiefs huge home favorites against the Bears.
ESPN's Dan Graziano expects Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco's role to grow going forward. "The Chiefs were expecting to have to ease him in because he missed some offseason time recovering from hand and shoulder injuries," Graziano writes. "They absolutely view him as their lead back, and they believe they can use him in the passing game as well as the run game." We'll need to monitor the hamstring issue that landed Pacheco on Wednesday's injury report. But if he's able to play this weekend, he's in a great spot at home for a bad Bears defense. For more on Pacheco, check out Week 2 Usage Takeaways.
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco will sit out Wednesday's practice with a hamstring issue, HC Andy Reid said. Pacheco seemed to make it out of last week's win just fine, but we'll obviously need to keep a close eye on him over the next few days. His absence would leave Kansas City's backfield to Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Jerick McKinnon vs. Chicago on Sunday.
Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco handled 12 of 14 team RB carries in Week 2. He busted off 5.5 YPC, boosted by a 31-yard scamper to open the second half. Clyde Edwards-Helaire saw only three touches after showing up on the injury report with an illness. Jerick McKinnon chipped in with only 1 carry (3 targets). Week 3 turns up an excellent scoring matchup for Pacheco, who's still searching for his first TD of this season.
Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) is active for today’s game vs. the Jaguars. He tallied six carries and one target on a 22% snap rate in the opener. We're betting on less work than that for him today.
Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game vs. the Jaguars. He should be able to play, but his absence would be slight boosts for RBs Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon. Edwards-Helaire handled six carries and one target on a 22% snap rate in Week 1.
