Drew Brees Fantasy Football News | Shark Bites

Shark Bites are the latest fantasy football news & NFL updates. Draft Sharks has been in business since 1999. And when we started, redraft was the dominant form of fantasy football. Check out what we've learned about this most basic form of fantasy football along the way.

Retired QB Drew Brees tweeted that he might return to football. “Despite speculation from media about my future this fall, I’m currently undecided,” Brees began. “I may work for NBC, I may play football again, I may focus on business and philanthropy, I may train for the pickleball tour, senior golf tour, coach my kids or all of the above. I’ll let you know.” Brees last suited up in the Divisional Round of the 2020-2021 postseason. He turned 43 in January.

UPDATE: Long-time Saints beat writer Jeff Duncan tweeted that Brees' comment was "100% in jest...[there's] nothing to see here."

WR Dez Bryant has finally found a home, inking a 1-year deal with the Saints. The 30-year-old looked like a player in decline last season, averaging a career-low 12.1 yards per catch. He seems best-suited as a possession receiver at this point, which is the role he might be stepping into with the Saints. Bryant would look good as a big slot WR between Michael Thomas and Tre'Quan Smith. From a fantasy perspective, Bryant figures to duke it out for targets with Smith behind top dogs Thomas and Alvin Kamara. Dez is worth adding in most fantasy leagues, but we'd consider him just a WR4 for now. We'll see how quickly he can settle into the offense. Smith's value takes a considerable hit with Bryant's arrival.
