Chargers Sign RB Raheim Sanders to a UDFA Contract

The Los Angeles Chargers signed South Carolina RB Raheim Sanders to an Undrafted Free Agent contract after the 2025 NFL Draft. “Rocket” Sanders was once a highly touted prospect expected to be a potential first-round NFL Draft pick. He rushed for 1,443 yards and 10 TDs at Arkansas in 2022, quickly ascending as a top RB in all of college football. Unfortunately, 2023 was plagued by injuries, including a knee issue and a severe shoulder injury that required surgery. He transferred to South Carolina in 2024 to reunite with OC Dowell Loggains, leading to 1,000+ total yards. He runs with adequate power but will need to clean up the fumbles after putting three balls on the ground in ‘24. After running a 4.46 40-yard dash at 217 pounds, Sanders showed he has the speed to impact NFL games.

2025 Fantasy Football Impact

Sanders looked like a potential Day 2 pick while playing for Arkansas, but he suffered an injury and transferred to South Carolina.

Sanders' size and speed made him potentially valuable, running the 4.46 40.

With his size and athleticism, Sanders was expected to be drafted.

With the Chargers drafting Omarion Hampton in the first round, it is unlikely Sanders will make an impact.

Sanders has no redraft or dynasty value at this time.
