The Broncos selected Lohner with the 241st pick in Round 7 of the 2025 NFL Draft. Lohner, a former basketball player at BYU and Baylor, was the Utes number two TE due to his athleticism. He scored an 8.83 Relative Athletic Score (RAS) at 6'7, 256 pounds and running a 4.69 40. Lohner's 37" Vertical and 10'06 Broad were near the top of the TE position for the 2025 Draft. He offers intriguing developmental upside based on that athleticism. He only had four catches for 54 yards this season, but all four were TDs.
Lohner could offer fantasy upside if he does end up developing enough to get playing time.
His basketball background led to explosion and agility that match NFL quality.
HC Sean Payton does like developmental athletic TEs (like Adam Trautman) so he could give Lohner time.
Keep an eye on reports about Lohner, but he is unlikely to do much in the short term.
Lohner could be a stash in very deep TE Premium leagues.
His height and athleticism combine for at least a potential red zone threat, ultimately.
If you have a taxi squad on your dynasty team, consider Lohner as a post-rookie draft add. His upside, at least as a red zone threat, is intriguing.
