The Eagles signed RB A.J. Dillon to a one-year deal. Dillon missed the entire 2024 season after a neck injury that dated back to 2023. He was medically cleared last week, though, and will now battle for a role behind Saquon Barkley in Philadelphia.
2025 Fantasy Football Impact
Dillon averaged a career-worst 3.4 yards per carry when we last saw him in 2023. In fact, his yards per carry has declined each year as a pro, from 5.3 to 4.3 to 4.1 to 3.4.
Dillon turns just 27 in May and is capable of providing some between-the-tackles thump when right. But his only fantasy upside in Philadelphia is as a Barkley handcuff. Dillon will need to battle second-year RB Will Shipley -- and potentially another backfield addition -- for that title.
It'll be a situation to track this summer. But Dillon isn't worth a pick in early best-ball drafts.
