The Rams are releasing WR Cooper Kupp, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports. Los Angeles spent the past month trying to trade Kupp but found no takers at the asking price. That's not a surprise considering:
NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said Wednesday morning that Kupp will have a "really strong market."
We'll see about that.
Kupp is a big name but is clearly on the decline. His two worst yards per route marks and Pro Football Focus receiving grades have come over the last two seasons. He turns 32 in June and carries a lengthy injury history.
On the plus side, Kupp averaged 7.0 catches and 73 yards per game over his first nine outings of last year. He ranked 22nd in yards per route and 38th in PFF grade among 90 qualifying WRs during that stretch.
Kupp's 2025 value likely lies between those two extremes. We'll see where he ultimately lands (and how much money he gets). For now, we're mostly staying away at his 8th-round best ball ADP.
